- In this video, we go fishing in Moreton Bay after we have to turn around from heading out to deeper waters and change plans due to the seas becoming rougher than expected.

G'day Fishos! We hope you enjoy this video of a typical day on the water (for us anyway) as we "learn by doing" our way around the Bay. Thanks for your ongoing support! Cheers :)
Thought I couldn't get enough of your gardening channel, but now you're off doing my other hobby - fishing! Please keep up the videos!
Its just beautiful out there!
Ah, Mark and James..you just need to take out the boat for fun, and if you catch a fish, it's a bonus. 😊
Well that’s fishing for you but as fishers theses are the days that make you search for different grounds try different strategies and turn a crap day into an interesting one keep it coming gents great content
Nothing can beat going out with your kids/grandkids teaching them the basics. My grandkids are all fishermen and ladies due to my influence on them. I’m proud to say they picked up the “habit” from me!
Great work men 👏 👍
James isnt a man
Are you fishing on the tides, Mark? Fishing on an incoming tide is usually when they're (the fish) are most hungry. 😉
Love the videos guys
Hubby and I are learning as we go too
Might see you out there sometime 😊
I would have taken the shark back home for flake. If it's good enough for Maccas, it's good enough for me. Cheers!
You should definitely have kept the shark, there is plenty of them out there. I just planted a new passionfruit vine over the top of the remains/waste of a gummy shark I caught recently. We will see how that one goes. Just gut it immediately and get it on an ice slurry.
That shark was the perfect size for the table!
I've never had the opportunity to clean or fillet shark but I'm a huge lover of beer battered flake.
Have a ripper you guys!
Not catching much is a hard lesson but a good one. I spent a LOT of unproductive hours trialing new grounds and fishing techniques. Good news, it's a great investment of time/effort and really pays off in the future.
Can you guys do a launch and retrieve video plz
😂 You have tough days at work Mark.
If you bleed the catfish you'll have one of the best battered fish ever. I have to wonder how much your boys groan with all your Dad Jokes Mark lol
Perfectly good flake Mark all the South Aussie and Victorians would be crying, bloody Queenslanders spoilt for fish choice
Good video mate
Cheers till next time
I’m only guessing but I think that maybe a little dusky shark? (Grey Reef Shark)
Anyone able to give a correct ID?
Hey Mark, Do you sell the shirt you are wearing in this video?
G'day, please send me an email via selfsufficientme.com contact page referencing this comment. Cheers 👍
What is a fresh tabby?
Shark meat smells like piss (fairdinkum LOL) so I would not eat them. I remember them as a kid as we're Islanders living off the sea most of the time. Someone brought some over as we don't fish for them. Oi, should've done the Rex Hunt thing, kiss it before you release....Haha!
