looks like a blast!
Lots of lessons for me to learn! I have picked out my Stabia but haven't purchased it yet. It was a bit hard to hear the audio when you were trolling, so I hope you got a windsock cover for your microphone for future trolling videos. Yes boating is like gardening in a way...don't listen to the naysayers and have a go ya mug ;-) Cheers!
G'day Craig, yeah, we've mostly fixed the wind noise now. All the best with your new Stabi! Cheers :)
You both caught one though despite the greenhorn status!
Fun a ripper guys.
Also love the puns here! :)
Fantastic!!! Very fun video!!! Great to see a father and son learning something new together. Hope you get the 2250 and have even more adventures together.
Great video Mark and James, thank you 👍👍🇦🇺🇬🇧🇦🇺🇬🇧
Thank you! All the best :)
Cobia is probably my favourite eating aswell!!
That was fun. Great catch! Nobody got hooked or bitten. 2 very nice Cobia were caught and enjoyed. Nobody fell off the boat…everybody had fun. That to me was a successful fishing trip!
nice , good fun. I love fishing fresh or salt water. Here in Texas,I fish a local lake for crappie or black bass and inshore at Corpus Christi bay for spotted sea trout or drum (red or black.) Lately though the flounder catch has been good.
take care and Good fishing.
G'day Dale! Yes, I've seen plenty of videos showing how popular bass fishing is in Texas (and all over the States). It's a massive sport over there! Cheers :)
Yep, this Catching Game is catching & I spent 60+ years doing it & now have written a book about what I learned. Have fun kids, it's a beautiful sport/hobby.
2 big fish and you guys were hooked!
Great vids none the less. Nothing wrong with not knowing what you are doing, you have to learn somehow, and most of the lessons have to be hard lessons to stick. haha
So awesome. Definitely had the same experience with my dad and brother first time it happened. Pensacola Fl.👍🇺🇸👌
That's what its all about! It took my friend and I a few years of tough trips before things started clicking but when it comes together it makes all the struggles worth it.
I love your videos thank you
Great fishing day!
I'm a beginner too. I love your honesty and thanks for sharing your experiences with your son! I plan to have fishing trips with my two sons when my boat is finished (5+ year boa building project).
5 year project - wow that's one long goal but I bet it will be worth all the effort in the end! Cheers :)
Greetings from north Florida! (Actually, I'm on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska at the moment but will be home soon.) This was a great video! I can see by your newer videos that you two are getting your groove on. So glad you got your boat. I think you are enjoying it as much as I am enjoying watching you and your son getting it done. Tight lines!
Restaurants love cobia. Great fish.
Well done Mark, thanks for the video!
Thanks Roy!
Every time you start the videos, I keep expecting you to say “Let’s… cast into it!” 😂😂 thanks for sharing your videos - they’re so fun!
LOL... I have trouble remembering "let's get out there" sometimes! Cheers :)
Keep up the good work!!!
Never listen to the myth of "Trash Fish". Just because it's "Dirty" tasting where they live, matters not to you. Mullet is the best tasting bloodline in Florida, and 🦀 trap bait in Louisiana two states over. Completely agree Mark👍🇺🇸👌
I thought it was going over the side when j saw it on the baitboard!! Lol
Top video
Cobia aka Black Kingfish are great food and sport, have seen them sold at restaurants as Black Kingfish so I asked a chef mate who told me that's what the Japanese often call em and you can charge more as there does seem to be some weird stigma🤷♂️
Ahh yes, I have heard of or seen "Black Kingfish" before. That's probably why I thought the two were related but I've since read that they are indeed completely separate species. Both taste great though!
Crickey, dig up from the past.
😂👍
You guys are reel fishermen once you get abit of blood in the boat!
Also you can slow right down or even stop while trolling to cast lures. Some lures will get hit while they sink, or when you take off again.
Thanks for the tips! We thought we looked a bit foolish casting and trolling at the same time... Cheers :)
@@selfsuffishingme if you hook up while doing it you look like a pro ;)
Going off like a frog in a sock!
LOL...
Even back then the lad out does the dad lol
It happens too often for my liking! Cheers :)
No one work's up there because Albanese has sent everyone bankrupt. 😂😂😂
