As a Veteran I used to load ordnance onto planes and liked watching them launch and come back onto the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70. IYAOYAS, if you know you know. Got out of the Navy and then drove over the road for about 2 1/2 years (because I grew up in and around trucks and that's what I wanted to do). then needed benefits because my wife was about to have our daughter. So I went back to carrying a weapon for the government which I didn't wanna do. Then had to retire disabled because I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in Nov.2012. Still dealing with the after effects of all the chemo and radiation. But I'm still above ground and follow and watch this channel, Chad Keegan's and Tim Gentry's channel as well. Because of my love for truckin' and cabovers you all have gotten me through a lot of rough days while I was going through chemo and the radiation and even still to this day. So I thank you for that. Oh I used to drive an 1981 and 1982 K100. The '82 was a double sleeper which was my favorite. But I love all cab overs and long noses. Look forward to the next video. There's time I visit our airport in Kentwood, Michigan to watch the planes come in and go. Sometimes your GPS takes you through some beautiful country.
Steve, thanks for another great video. I love watching airplanes and helicopters. I was a helicopter mechanic in the Mass Army National Guard stationed on Otis AFB, Cape Cod.
Helicopters and their pilots became the heros recently didn't they!? Someone has to repair them. Sure is an important job regardless of the size.
I work at MCO (Orlando International Airport) and that's one of the perks is that I can walk outside of my office to the ramp and watch planes all day if I wanted to..

about handling Eisenhower Tunnel & going down Vale on I-70. first company truck I ever drove didn’t have Jake brakes so I learned if you climbed the mountain in 6th gear & leaving the tunnel you stayed in 6th & come down the mountain in 6th. so even after I had trucks with Jake’s I was in the habit to select what gear I was comfortable coming down the mountain in & stayed in that gear

I really like your channel and your Pete cabover. You have a cool way about you, no nonsense, and get it done attitude. Your videos are very interesting, once I start watching I can't stop. It's cool you call the truck Orwell, because it's an 80s model and George Orwells book 1984. I've seen you drive past my exit Grantsville md between Cumberland and Morgantown WV. There is only one other truck I'd like to see you driving, a Mack ultraliner cabover with the sweet Mack v8 thumping. Your an excellent driver I wish you continued success!!

Steve about the football helmet Peterbuilt.. yeah they were ugly as hell but drivers said it has the smoothest ride they ever seen. comparable to the old GMC cab overs from the 70’s. when I first started driving old timers talked about the GMCs. the cab was totally on air bags. when you made a turn it would cause the cab to lean,, it made a lot of drivers butt pukker at first.

I am asking if the fuel savings of a new lighter step deck offsets the steel monster you have been rebuilding
With loads like this there is no difference. And if there was even a traceable difference, you're hauling too cheap if that matters.

That was the intercooler blowing gaskets, he did a series on replacing the intercooler.
Question, do you just stay under Weitmeyers umbrella, or do you look for loads on your own?
