That is awesome. I really like the concept 💡 of that knife and the way you practice to be efficient with it. I think I'm going to try and make one for myself since I do alot of hunting and trapping. Thanks Blackie. Have a good one and keep your tender dry.
Learning kitchen knife skills help add to your meals in camp and it also helps keep you from cutting yourself as well. Thanks for sharing. Love my new Lutz skinner.
When I first saw this knife a few weeks ago, I thought it looked like a really worn out butcher knife. Now I see that it is a very well designed specialty tool. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video Mr. Blackie :) This is exactly how I learned to use my Sharp Finger years ago! Best advice for learning your knives is in this video. LOL! I have some knives you could tow a Humvee with but they won't slice a tomato worth a damn :)
aint that the truth i got caught up in all that survival knife hype in the 80's and most of those knives were sold as the finest battle knife yet devised.. in truth most were just a semi sharp splititng wedge ill suited to any real field work
Blackie, you answered the ago old question of what did my grandfather did with his knife that looked similar to this. My grandparents lived on a farm in Washington and my grandfather processed all their own meat. I wish I knew what happened to that knife. Thanks for the explanation and demo.
I thought it was a tiny knife in Dan’s videos, it’s pretty good sized in a more average hand. Good review, I like to see how a knife performs doing more mundane daily stuff tasks, not always splitting logs and feathers.
Hello Blackie, I really understand the workings of the new LUTZ knife. Can you list someplace a email for yourself to possibly to order one of them. Thanks again my friend.
My Dad had a knife that looked a lot like that. It actually was an old worn out butchers knife. We used it for that purpose. One of my brothers managed to sneak off with it. It could shave a gnat, lol.
Absolutely..i get hours of practice before i start field cleaning a buck..then the game is on the ground it should not be any surprises and the hand and blade should work as one
I really like the look of the knife and it’s function looks great too, it reminds me of Jeff whites knives Edit: is it made by Jeff white? I believe that is his logo stamped into the blade
I've been working all my life in the meat industry and sorry to say that knife resembles a pretty worn out meat knife in it's last months of usefulness. Dumpster dive in a meat factory and sure you'll get some of them for free.
This isn’t his first time using a knife. That’s akin to saying you “should never cut towards yourself”. I guess that’s all good advice to a newb but anyone with experience and common sense could do either while being safe
yep..when my granny gave me that small kitchen knife to cut onions or carrots or what ever it only was a matter of time before i got careless and nicked myself..and when i did she made sure it was not too bad and said well next time pay attention and the knife wont bite ya..with that advice it was amazing how quick i learned not to get bit..lol

How easy is it to sharpen?????? great design!!!! Thanks for sharing Blackie!!!!
Easy.it looks odd but you will sharpen it like a flat knife

at first glance it does seem to be a worn out blade..but once ya use it..and see it was made for the push cut..it really starts to shine

yes go to the intro for the video and I list his abnormal.com site where you can buy one
Now that's interesting. It's almost like a hawkbill blade was designed backwards. It cuts on the push more than the pull.

Great video, Blackie. I think you’re 100% on target about taking knives into the kitchen to develop skills.

Smart looking design for a a knife.

Nice Blackie. Good edge on that blade too.

That is a funny looking knife but I see how the design has an advantage now what’s the price on one of those

I really like the look of the knife and it’s function looks great too, it reminds me of Jeff whites knives
Edit: is it made by Jeff white? I believe that is his logo stamped into the blade

Mrs. Blackie ain't so dumb. ;)
Cool knife!
it really is
Looks like someone broke a knife and sharpened what was left. Teasing. A knife just has to work. Thanks for the video.
Greetings from Poland:)

Great commercial! It slices it dices it’s better than Ginsu ! 😂 🤦♂️
I just have to say....Never put your fingers in front of the blade!
Roger Harris It is amazing that adults still have to be told that.
