I would love a health-centered video. I also suffer from chronic migraines and aspire to complete a thru-hike someday but often feel that with the cards I was dealt, it isn't possible. Maybe it isn't and I need to learn to be content with shorter trips, but the mental game is so HARD.
Now that Miranda is eating non-vegan foods, can you do another making your own dehydrated backpacking meals video?? Would love to see some options with meats/cheeses/whatnot and how they can be made at home to save some money instead of buying the prepackaged ones 😊. And if I were to win the gift card I would put it towards one of those quilts you gave away 🤑

I have realized that I will have to lighten up elsewhere because I’m going to need to carry loads of water. Also, I have learned that adding electrolytes is more important than I thought. Heh, I’ll also have to carry lots of different meds on trail.
I dunno if you’ll see this, but I feel you! I think we can still do a good bit of our backpacking dreams.

For $100 at GGG I would put it towards the Bolger Co poop trowel (REI one hurts my hand) and the NU Rechargeable headlamp, Nitecure. Then I’d let my husband pick something for himself because he’s awesome! Thx for all you do!!!

I totally agree how braids are great for keeping long hair controlled. Had a hair disaster last year kayaking off Tybee Island, Georgia when I was rolled several times in big waves. Now whether I am kayaking or hiking- I do braids. No hair disasters for me anymore. Love you guys. Never miss your videos!

Thank you. Up until I found your channel, I never even knew anything about backpacking, nor how accessible and "non-full-on-intense" everyone can make it depending on their preference. I'm sure it's a wonderful way of enjoying the outdoors (I haven't been yet :), and I've now starting accumulating gear little by little, so I'll be ready soon! I can't wait :D
Your positive, goofy personality is always a great reminder to enjoy the little things in life and too not take everything supa seriously!

There are so many things I would love to get from Garage Grown Gear. My most wanted thing is the Enlightened Equipment Accomplice quilt to make it more pleasant to camp with my wife. The Cascade Wild ultralight folding table would be really nice sometimes. Goosefeet Gear down socks. The JoGo coffee system looks awesome. The Pillow Strap. Wool-it blister stuff. So many great makers.

Congrats on 100K!! I'll be here for 1 million for sure- thank you for playing an important role in my confidence to venture out for solo backpacking/camping trips. It's still scary but I have started! I would buy a gosh darn Dyneema pack liner from Alpine Gremlins on GGG.. so that I don't have to wake up to a wet pack of clothes in the morning again. The weather this weekend in NE was wicked! I was in the White Mountains (NH) so hate to have missed this live but the energy (and dog moments) translated well into replay :)

I was just pointing out that a lot of people give up being vegan because they think it means I need to be perfect. Being vegan isn't just about your food. I'm sure you know that. You can be vegan in a lot of ways besides food.

For the giveaway, I would put the $100 towards a wool sun hoodie. I'm always sweaty and stinky, and I've been wanting to upgrade to wool for the sweat/odor/moisture control and sustainability over synthetic materials. I made the switch to wool socks and I swear by it now!
P.S. I agree with Rainer on the donuts. They're fine I guess, but there are much better choices out there. Nothing wrong with sweet potato and salmon!

A knee injury last spring kept me at home a lot more than I wanted this summer. I'm hoping to do more this coming year. I love camping, hiking and paddling.

I'd put it towards a Purple Rain Adventure Dress! I have two of the skirts and they are the most most most amazing thing for both hiking and travel. The skirts have four pockets, like there is a pocket in front of the pocket! Gamechanging. I had a pocket for my passport, my wallet, my phone, and a handkerchief pocket and felt so organized in the airport. And they work great with a backpack.
Hey Miranda! Thanks so much for your videos, you have helped inspire me to get out there and backpack. I am honored to be one of the first 100K. I have been collecting gear and preparing for years and finally went for my first backpacking trip and solo to boot! I learned a lot from that trip and one was that I needed warmer gear.

I would use the gift certificate toward one of the camping quilts. I current use a camping sleeping bag but tend to be a side sleeper & think a quilt would be more comfortable.
