Nago has to be one of the best designed modern characters I've ever seen, usually when new characters are revealed people get annoyed because a legacy character could have been used in that slot BUT nagos design is sooo good people loved him from day 1.
Was playing with a group last night and he feels amazing, no longer chained to the shackles of a single meter. Against certain characters like Milla, almost all his specials beat out the opponents. At some point it just looks like a glitch even with him standing in front of an active hitbox.
GG Strive is the first fighting game (besides smash) that I have fully invested time into to learn SFV and 4 weren't doing it for me. Nago was who drew me into the game. I finally learned how to consistently do the fireball and dp inputs just to play this character. I was gonna play him whether he was good or not (I play who I like not who is good), but finding out he isn't hot garbage definitely relieved my heart a bit. Thanks for the great video.

So played around with Sol cause he's been my main all the back in ACORE and I wanted to see if he changed since the closed Beta. Then I sunk my teeth into Nago and I'm absolutely loving how he plays, might even want to try and get to those high levels with him. Wasn't able try him out in the public beta cause of finals, so I don't really have a gauge of when he was at his lowest. I'm absolutely loving his game, mostly cause I stared up Last Blade 2 and he sort of plays like an SNK character. Heard a lot of people say "Oh main Nago if you like to die", but I don't t seeing why. His long-range poke and slashes allow enough breathing room to manage that Gauge and it was pretty rare to go Max Bloodrage as long as you throw in those S and HSs. Probably the most trouble I'm having right now is landing his Bloodsucking Universe, but watching this Vid has definitely given me some ideas I'd like to try out.
Stepped my Nago Game up MASSIVELY after watching this. BIG thanks sir. I still believe Nago needs a buff to his blood gage consumption or health loss during Blood Rage, and his 6H should hard knock down like it did in the beta.
Nago reminds me of Johnny in terms of style, a heavy-hitter that's not as mobile as the rest of the cast, compensating by huge range and relentless pressure. Definitely a cool character.
Nago super takes a lot off the blood meter. You won't go into BR after landing it, it's actually what you should be aiming for if they keep jumping the command grab.
Nago is honestly my favorite character, I'm a noob at this game but so far I'm really enjoying the gameplay, plus his design is extremely cool a samurai vampire is just a cool concept.
I have a lot of respect for Arc System Works and I want to touch base with an every growing situation when it comes to inequality in fictional characters. I truly appreciate and love the inspiration poured into Nagoriyuki and it's too bad that the likes of Marvel, D.C. and many others fail to understand. Nago is his own character as well as a popular character that doesn't need to be a Sol Badguy to bring the amount of attention like crappie Marvel would have done. I truly hope Nago gets a more in depth history in future titles or maybe a spin off series that would be extremely exciting to see!

Nago feels so good and if you want to close out a round you can always dash into normal grab. It feels more consistent to me, but it could be the same range as nagos command grab. Also didn’t think I’d play him after the betas, and now he’s who I’m maining.
Id like if they added instant kills in the game. That'd be really nice. It surprised me how they weren't mentioned AT ALL during all the interviews they had.
If you're gonna buy it, I'd recommend the deluxe edition for 80 instead. The season pass containinh 5 characters, first one dropping July is 30, so if you take a liking for it you're gonna drop 90 on it anyway. The extra colours pack is included as well in the 80, being severely overpriced at 15 by itself.

Classic GG is K S H P - D As most high-level (Japanese) players are from the arcade my guess would be that is the most common layout. Second most common layout is probably P K S H - D
I think it should've been called Bloodlust instead: using his powers and sword makes him crave for blood, that's why the command grab lowers the gauge: he gets to drink blood. When he gets max gauge he is so in desperate need of blood his health starts depleting and his vampiric side gives him all its power to fulfill this task. Why his super stops Blood Rage though that's beyond me.
