Call me a curmudgeon, I think it’s a little over hyped. But it is a pretty place to visit. Great place to relax and contemplate. During the week it’s usually pretty quiet… I have heard it can become a zoo on weekends. When I was there I got the weirdest sensation that the place was deeply haunted. Not in a bad way, not in a scary way, but there definitely was a sense something there was watching over you. I guess that’s the best way to put it.as for the ruins at the end of the gardens aka fish pond… they do have an amazing view of the Mountains. It’s a great place for photography. And it is definitely changing. It’s only been about 3 years since I was there. That main ball room area you commented on the windows… when I was there, no floor existed in that area. It dropped down to the foundation and plants and vines were growing up into the house from there. Gave it a Jurassic park feel. Thanks for sharing the video.
Lol Painter. I went during the week when I filmed this video, so it wasn't too crowded. It was my first time to The Ruins so I'm not sure what it was like before this. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. If I was on a guided tour I think it would have been more historically interesting. All the best.
nice view...
It sure is! Much better than I expected it to be.
It is listed as ONE OF THE 12 FASCINATING RUINS IN THE WORLD
I did not realize that Lance. Thanks for sharing that information with me.
@@TravelingTutor it belongs to the clubs with Parthenon,Babylon, Colosseum,Machu Picchu
@@lancefortaleza3665 I hope that it receives this recognition someday.
Yes you are correct, the sugar mill smokestack has a tree growing out it’s top…that’s the story I heard.
Thanks for confirming that Bruce. Wonder how the roots got all the way up there?
