    Idk if anybody else is having second thoughts now, but I’m almost thinking I should have my #2 and #3 flipped. What do you guys think? Who got it right, and who was wrong?

    It’s hard to narrow down to just 5. Taos is up there and Utah should probably be on the list like Snowbird or Powder mountain. I usually leave off Cali due to the wet snow; I’m a dry powder snob.

    Skied 61 days + over 1 million vertical last 23/24 season. Haven’t hit Canada or Europe yet, but skied just about every major western USA ski resort. Current top 5:
    1) Sun Valley
    2) Snowbasin
    3) Grand Targhee
    4) Jackson Hole
    5) Snowbird

    • @SRGSkiing
      @SRGSkiing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haven't gotten to hit Snowbasin personally, but it's on my list for the coming years! Snowbird I thoroughly enjoyed, but I didn't get to explore much of it because Mineral and a lot of the chutes were closed due to high avalanche danger.

    Nice video. Here is my top five. 5. Sugar Bowl, CA, gets a lot of great snow, has some technical terrain on Mt Juda and Crows Nest. 4. Kirkwood, steep and technical. 3. Snowbird, only because I skied just half a day, 2. Alta. 1. Palisades Tahoe

    • @arjunski

      Sugar Bowl seems so cool, used to ski there when I was younger but haven't been back in forever! Definitely towards the top of my list of California resorts I wanna get back to!

    Here’s my list:
    5. Copper Mountain,
    4. Snowbird,
    3. Arapahoe Basin,
    2. Sugarloaf,
    1. Steamboat.
    Number 6 would be Winter Park and number 7 would be Telluride. I feel like I’ll be second-guessing my picks because some resorts I have been to more times than others!

    I was getting worried about SRG with his Sun Valley pick but then completely redeemed himself with Targhee. I learned to ski & snowboard there in the mid 1980s. It is a great mountgain for many reasons. I was surprised that none had JH or Little Cottonwood in their lists. My list of five favorite ski mountains (no particular order... Mammoth, JH, Targhee, Snowbird, Vail. But I still want to try Taos and Crested Butte. I also have never skied in Canada

    For me, I think the terrain at Taos stands out as the best. However, Alta is my #1 because the terrain is similar to Taos but the snow is deeper and more reliable.

    Interesting that no one chose any Utah mountains. I could just ski Utah and be perfectly content. From the lists provided I’d agree most with snowboard traveler. I would like to ski with Planker so he could show me what I’m missing. 🤷‍♂️😂

    Delerium and the wild west require avy gear so they doesn't get ridden out, when they are open they always have pow because of that, but wild west has more sharks teeth

    • @Hawk100Clemens

      For terrain, Whistler is top of the top, but I’ve heard the crowds are overwhelming. As noted in the reviews, crowds and vibes are important aspects too. Regardless, Whistler is my favorite of 60 resorts skied.

    • @carterfan80
      @carterfan80 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Hawk100Clemens that's a fair answer. I tend to mostly consider the terrain so I guess my personal rankings are a little skewed.👍🏻

    • @eutoob
      @eutoob 6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      For Whistler, the weekend/holiday crowds can get bad but usually on the morning upload. Once you get on the mountain, just head for the high alpine where the extreme terrain is intidimating for most of the plebs. Powder bowls are accessed via the slackcountry and the unpatrolled inbounds areas. Kicking Horse has Whistler/Blackcomb beat for gnarly chutes/couliors but Whistler has enough to make things interesting. Lots of unmarked/unofficial terrain that only the locals know too.
