I finished the Lift Kit and install the rear leaf pack on my Bronco! I know a lot of you have done this too, let me know if I could have done anything better!
Take it from me, a DIY guy who only buys used trucks and works on them myself (so they're always old with corrosion on fasteners). Spray, tap with a wrench or small hammer, and then re-spray the bolts/nuts/bushings for 3 days with penetrating oils (any kind will do, transmission oil will also do it). Do it at least once a day, I usually do it twice a day for 3 days. The nuts and bolts will always come off or out easily. I personally hate cutting, grinding and beating the shit out of things. Then the fasteners can also be reused if necessary. If I do that, I usually soak them down with oil and clean up before putting back in/on. The oils will do the work with a little time and sometimes they'll do it sooner than 3 days but I've never had one not come loose and off after 3 full days of treatments.
I am working on the same project. Thanks for the video. I had to bust out the sawzall on the rear passenger side shackle bolt. PIA to say the least. Keep up the videos!
Did you install shims on the bottom of the leaf springs with the 2.5 in lift? If not, did you notice any excessive driveline vibration? I order the 2.5" suspension lift from TBP and it came with shims. My initial thought was they were not needed for 2.5" or less lift.
Did you have dual rear shocks prior to this upgrade? Do you notice any axle wrap with the single rear shock? I know the Bilstein is a much better shock than a typical hydraulic shock but I'm wondering how it will compare to my dual shock set up. Thanks for all the great content!!
If i'm just replacing the leaf springs on my stock 76. No lift. Just putting pretty new leaf springs in. Do I still need to change out the bushings in the hangers?
Good job I’ve been following you from the start. I was wondering how to send questions to some of the people I’m following when your offline? Also there’s a guy that goes by condordriving on TH-cam he was gone for awhile but he’s back and he has some great fabrication skills, check him out.

I like how the hammering was timed to the music!
One tip is to cover the bolts in antiseize. Will keep them from rusting to the bushing sleeve if you ever have to take it apart again.

Nice! Glad it helped!
Those skinny jeans are the source of your Bronco power! Awesome vid, also loved the TH-cam live element in the middle! Classy
+Josh Hancock thanks man! #SkinnyJeansMechanic
Double rapped end go toward the front? Correct? And nobody seams to have a video about where to add/weld on the added shock brackets front or rear.
Cute baby torch ;)
Love the musical tappy tap.
Matt you should lend Jon your safety glasses lol I get nervous for him! haha Jon maybe Santa will bring you some!!
+Matt's Garage gotta have a little fun with the editing 😉
+Anthony Parigi hahaha! It’s true. Safety glasses and gloves never stay in

Sweet Brulee Torch bruh
Great Videos..... I just started my own channel.... and of course it’s about my bronco project..... thanks for the inspiration.....
Awesome man! Glad I could give some inspiration!

I did not use any shims. Install it and see what your drive line angle is
Good video and thank you. What size tires and wheels on your Bronco, please? Nice look. Thanks.
35" tires with 15" wheels
Just got done removing the leaf springs. Had to cut out BOTH hangers with the sawzall. That SUCKED....
Brutal!

You probably don’t “need” to. But it may not hurt while you’re in there
Somebody get that crying kid outta the garage!! Lol, great video!
+John Felkins haha! Right!?!?
We’re did you get that selfi stick?!
If you are lifing the rear and dropping the axle, could you leave the tires on the axle instead of using jack stands?
Totally, it’s just a pain to work around the tires so it’s easier to remove them
So what is your overall height of your bronco. Still must fit in the garage?
Yep, still fits in the garage. Probably 6 inches to spare. I’m not sure how high it is.
Your link shows a 2.5" lift, is that what you installed? Also, what size tires are you running? Thanks
Yep! 2.5” suspension lift with 1” body lift on 35’s
What size rims?
15x10
I would suggest a bigger compressor and using air tools instead of hand tools.
How did the new rear suspension make it ride?
Great! The new leaf springs feel so much better. But also the shocks and springs in the front make the ride quality so smooth
Love the crying kid made it so real for me that’s exactly what happened in my garage
Haha!
Where did you get your leaf springs, what brand?
+John DePaoli toms bronco parts
WhT leaf springs did you go with? Lift?
2.5 inch from Toms Bronco Parts. They are so nice compared to the stock ones!
Nashville Early Bronco but your son likes wild horses.... 😂😂🤪
Where did you get your parts? (Leaf springs set)?
The link to the part is in the description. But I got them from Toms Bronco Parts

+James Mitchell I’ll check him out! Thanks for watching! Feel free to email or comment, I always try to answer questions
Can you come do mine?
