    Fuck yeah, this is what I wanted. I think I don't usually face many smurfs, but seeing this is good to not promote in a passive way. Props to bsj for doing this which obviously requires more work than grabbing a low mmr account and playing a pub.

      Honestly those that complaints about BSJ smurfing are making a big deal out of it. I only see maybe one or 2 smurfs in 10 games, so I don't get why people are so mad at this

    • @berryesseen
      @berryesseen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@yyong3002 exactly. Actually playing against a smurf is a good thing unless it is very very frequent. So you know actually your capabilities, you feel the level gap very deeply, and you know how bad you are. I don’t understand why people see it as a big deal if you lose because of a clear unfairness. You should just embrace it and try your best out of it. Ranked games don’t have to be always fair.

      @@berryesseen well it might be a good thing if both teams r balanced in terms of skills except for that guy that's smurfing. And the average mmr is at least higher than 3.5-4k. cuz if it's lower i don't there would be any learning happening as those guys wouldn't even understand what the smurf did. And the most important part is that hes not last picking some shit like brood, huskar, tinker, arc and all the other last pick heroes into a no counter game. Cuz there won't be anything to learn as well.

    I'd love to see more where the opponent team has slightly higher MMR than your team. Not only potentially closer games, I feel like the games I struggle with the most are when my team overall is behind and the map feels really small. It's really hard to know how to come back in a game, besides the enemy just walking into you and dying of course.

      @vincentspaid9175 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I know he originally didn't like the idea of using his patreons because it's not the same environment as a pub. But it has the advantage of being able to do cool stuff like have him play with heralds on his team against a team of archons or something

    • @user-yy3ki9rl6i
      @user-yy3ki9rl6i 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i think he made a video where he intentionally fucks up during laning phase and ended up carrying the game. getting slightly higher mmr teammate simply won't work here because bsj's actual mmr is way higher than these noobs.

    • @dm9910

      @@user-yy3ki9rl6i His idea of fucking up the laning stage in that game was being level 4.5 against a level 3 offlaner, then he dies once but is still ahead in exp (and probably also even or ahead in last hits tbh) then he starts tryharding again. By 10 mins he's level 8 with 75 cs almost all of it being lane creeps because he was never actually forced into the jungle and was able to voluntarily rotate to the enemy safelane because the enemy carry was a Spectre. That's an above average laning stage even for a high MMR player, for the 3k bracket that's probably an 80th or 90th percentile lane. So it's not like he was actually playing from behind in any meaningful sense.

      i stop playing for 3 months , it asked me to recalib and due to playing support to friends who are much2 lower rank like crusader. Dota2 drop me at L2. I think i win every of my 30+ game lanening stage so far and D2 labeled as smurf -_- and sometimes match me with divine player who are not any better than me. ITs YOU DOTA WHO PUT ME AT THIS RANK. Series looks great so far would love to see these ideas featured!

    Seeing that you opted to change and listen to community feedback is a plus in my book! Good job BSJ! I Hope that the community can also commend you on this as fast as they can criticize you on your smurfing for content, which I also hate. We should amplify good/helpful decisions as much as negative actions!
    On that vein, hoping for a video on having an intentionally bad/horrific laning/early stage and the mindset and movements to at least have a chance of coming back. Maybe choose a hero that is intentionally countered in lane etc.

      He's done this in two separate videos. One he played like a 3k for the first 5 mins in a 3k smurf game, and he's also smurfed picking the worst carry matchup possible. He's also instalocked PL in a 3k smurf, naturally getting countered by some picks, and showing how to still win.

      This might seem like the nice thing to do. But it is actually not. All of the players are his subs. They discussed together which hero to take, when to gank, when to push. Just everything. They did everything to make Necrophos look good. This game doesn’t simulate any ranked game. It is just 10 people playing their scripted roles for internet points. But I would like to see either a proper smurfing or no smurfing. Not this scripted shit.

    • @BBpoopin
      @BBpoopin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@berryesseen you seemed to completely miss the point I and many others have made. This is clearly a sterile, organized environment. There is no way to simulate an actual pub without it being an actual pub. The problem lies in a 9k player jumping into a 3k game - it'll never be objectively fair. Frankly unless you're lower than 2k there's next to nothing to learn from these videos. My sole issue with this variety of content is someone being near pro level in skill stomping what amounts to beginner dota players for "educational content".

I watched BSJ so many times that I wouldn’t think that they would script this game. But this doesn’t prove anything. It is very believable that bunch of people met and scripted a game to earn internet points and views for BSJ. Maybe BSJ paid them too. This is like watching a reality show on tv. You know it is not real but you still watch it. My point was that if you wanna do smurfing, just do it right by actually smurfing so that we know it is not bullshit.

    THANK YOU! This is excellent alternative to already excellent edu-smurf series. I love your content and I hope you are setting new trend. I do have few comments on things that might be better (talking from a student perspective):
    - be more concise about the game - something like a summary and what should the student take from this lesson (in this case I am not totally sure)
    - try to stick with "1)waveclear 2)be survivable 3)be kill threat 4)go for high ground items". I have no idea how this hero fits into that equation. When you played Mars I could easily write down notes about your game with certain POINTS (just like from presentation)
    If I think of anything else, I will let you know. Hopefully it will help.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but switching to agi treads is bad for necro? His E gives increased regen for health and mana for a duration, not a solid amount of health/mana like salve clarity. And because str and intel amp their respective regen, wouldn't you want your treads on anything but agi during the aura buff?

    • @DarkFazy
      @DarkFazy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      E gives flat bonuses, not percentage. So it's exactly like salve/clarity. Agi treads = 200 less HP, 1 less HP/s from strength.
      Say you have rank 4 Heartstopper Aura and kill five creeps. That's 35 hp and mana per second over 8 seconds. Total of 280 of each. Say your max HP is 1200 on Agi Treads and 1400 on Str Treads.
      You're on 600/700 HP agi/str. If you stay on agi, you heal 280, swap to str at the end and end up with 1026 HP. If you swap to str, you go from 700 to 988 and that's it.

    Hey BSJ, it would be nice to play one game on one side, then rotate to the other team, without any of them changing. It would be very nice to learn how to deal with different/kindda mirrored situations.

    thanks for great content. I learned a lot from you thank you. and started dominating my lanes but my problem in some games my teammates were feeding too much and the lane dominance wasn't enough couldn't recover from their feeds and lost the games. I'm currently gaurdian any advice ?

    • @federicopalacios7439
      @federicopalacios7439 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If every other lanes gets absolutely demolished you won't be able to usually do what you're supposed to do, but those games are rare, and there's nothing wrong with losing them, as long as you're constantly applying pressure to their towers you should force the enemy team to focus on you and reduce the amount of bad team fights your team takes, if you do everything properly and still lose that's just life. Even Smurfs don't usually have 100% win rate, just very high.

      @@federicopalacios7439 hard to accept reality. today I had 2 games 1st one with lina mid and 2nd one with tb safe and both around min 25 I got all tier 1 and tier 2 towers while we had all towers but my teammates was so bad that when it come to go hg that ended up feeding and again hg and feed and eventually lose these 2 games.
      it's painful after all that effort whyyyyyyyyyy
      I figured out I should quit playing its hurting me XD

    In chess, they refund elo points to players who play against verified smurfs. Dota is more difficult because it also would have to take away points from your teammates to make it truly fair tho
