Adventure Riding the V Strom - Testing the New Modifications

- Today we are actually riding the V strom around the local area, testing out the mods we have done, and talking about the future. And some other nonsense that comes to mind. After adding multiple modifications, and testing out our cheap Android Auto screen we had to take the bike out on a very Michigan Spring day. Finding some dirt roads as well as riding through the Forest Custer National Cemetery and The Fort Custer Stat Park, we had a ball getting out for one of the first V Strom rides of the year.
These are all in preparation for my first adventure touring trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan my home state. I lived in the area for almost 6 years and have not visited in nearly a decade. Stay tuned for the preparations for that trip and future modifications to the V strom to be adventure ready!
Adventure touring is on the up and I want a piece of it. A life long camper and adventurer this was an obvious choice in motorcycles for me. The V strom has a great track record and long history of production. Known for its reliability and versatility the V strom will make an excellent pavement and gravel road tourer. This bike has already been to the Dalton highway and across the country with the two previous owners, and I hope I can add a few adventures of my own to its history.
The Honda Magna was the first muscle bike that started a craze that has lasted for 40 years. Sporting a 90 degree V4 engine, Hydraulic Clutch, and shaft drive the Honda Magna was a direct attack on Harley Davidson. A cult following to this day the Honda Magna is a true classic that deserves more attention from the motorcycle world.

If you want to practice your dirt chops, we should meet up at Bundy hill in Jerome. But during the week. You don't want to be there during the weekend.
I would love to, got to get that practice in. Mulling over a new set of tires more adventure oriented, the only thing left that I want to do for the season.
@@magnamole I'm running the shinko 804/805 I believe. They are a decent traction tire, but I think I spend too much time on the highway with them the rear is certainly wearing a lot more in the center.
