I’m 75 and flipped furniture years ago. Now my son and dil are having a creative cottage built so I can go back to flipping for my grandkids and vintage friends. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work.💕💕💕💕
You were the first furniture flipper I came upon on youtube. I'm so glad you showed the way to saving furniture from the land fill. I love it all and you do great work. I'm now inspired... Thank You Christina
Same, Christina was my first, too. Now I'm just getting started flipping furniture. I'm putting the poly on my first flip and should be posting it on Marketplace within the next few days!
I loved all these, but I was surprised at how beautiful the faux marble top turned out! I also love how you are using your success to give back to others.💜
Thanks for your kind words. Epoxy is super fun! The mixing is a bit stressful, but the results are so worth it. This was only my second time using it, so I think anyone can do it!
So Wonderful!! Biggest transformation was your daughters❤I Loved all the colors you used (especially the green) but also getting to love the new blues!! Thx for all you do for your community, friends & family!!❤ also thank you for sharing your talent & tips with us🌸💫🌸
You have an amazing eye and talent😍 Everything turned out gorgeous😍 Very nice of you donating pieces as well as gifting to friends🥰 Your videos are fantastic.... Quick with excellent explainations❣️ Thank you so much❣️
One trick for the legs is to unscrew them and chuck them up in a drill and use a foam sanding block. You could've taken 1/4 of the amount of time... if they remove that is.
Ok…I have been painting furniture for just the last few years…started seriously 2018 or so. I did it where I worked as we sold Dixie Bell. I have a booth in central Illinois and I do shows here and there. I can’t imagine not having my chalk paint…I use mostly Annie Sloan and Dixie Bell. (I do love and use their silk line when I’m not doing anything fancy). I do agree with much of what you say. I’m 62. Maybe I’m out of touch. But I love distressing! I love blending paints…I don’t want my furniture to look like I just bought it from a furniture store. That is boring! I want something unique….something that might look old but is a piece of art…hand done. I follow Kacha some, who is an incredible furniture artist. (I could never dream of being that good😳). I use transfers and IOD stamps…everything I do is unique and I sell stuff! It’s all a personal preference. It really drives me crazy when designers try to say…”this is in, this is out”. (Not you…but wow…some…who are…who said there has to be a design God? But then, I’ve never been a trend follower, like ever. So I do thank you for clarifying that it is your personal preference to have sleek modern looks. There’s a whole lot of people who don’t care for that look I believe. And it’s not just the Grannies like me…I’ve had young women love my stuff and buy it. I love my brush strokes!! And I’m sticking to them!! I think true furniture artists will always need and use chalk paint…just my two cents worth😌❤.
Question? Do we always need to use a primer with a built in sealer? Here in Australia our products are so different and a bit tricky to find etc…we have chalk paint available and I’m pretty sure we can get Dixie Bell or Annie Sloan from specialty shops (but not locally). Can an undercoat act as a primer?
On your recommendation, i got the flexio 3500. I'm so excited to start using it once it warms up here. I have so many projects for it, and my brush skills arent the best 😂
Hi, I'm fairly new to refinishing furniture and I'm going to tackle refinishing a dining room table. What paint do you suggest for the most durable and water resistant finish?
Why not use man made materials (a.k.a pleather) or vinyl to get the leather look? A strip of pleather can be applied in many ways depending on the look you want. Adhere the material using glue, mod podge, stapled with studs (would that be called grommet?) etc.
You sometimes say the name of your paint but then I try to look at the list of what you have in your list of items and nowhere in there shows the color Sandcastle??? I don’t understand why this is so difficult for a remodelers like you to list the name of the paint It’s almost like it’s a trade secret. You don’t wanna give it away.
Exact opposite. I would love you to be able to buy these products and use my links to help support my business. I should have everything linked in the video. I'll go double check after this, but here is a direct link for you. dixiebellepaint.com/sand-castle-silk-all-in-one-mineral-paint/?aff=166
Never donate to thrift stores. I go to a lot of different ones and not even the non profit ones charge way too much, and getting help from them when you need it is like pulling teeth. They’ll give the worst of the worst items that don’t last long at all. It would be better to ask your local community if anyone is in need of help, but make sure it’s not someone who just wants to flip it for cash.
I’m sorry that is your experience. The one I give to actually runs a food bank, clothing store and furniture store. They let people in the program shop for free and then the proceeds from the thrift stores help with housing and other needs. It is as legit as they come. But I appreciate your concern.

Hi Christina!!
I ❤loooove your channel. Congrats! All or your work is awesome. Is that Texas friend of yours name ANDREA from DIY Wife??? 🥰
Thank you so much! Good guess. It's actually Kara at Lemons to Lemonade Furniture. 🥰
Texas flipper? Lemons to Lemonaide?
You got it! Kara is my girl! 🥰
One trick for the legs is to unscrew them and chuck them up in a drill and use a foam sanding block. You could've taken 1/4 of the amount of time... if they remove that is.
This is a great tip. Pretty sure these ones wouldn't come off. But it has been a while, so you might be right about them.
Love your videos of furniture flips! Thank you for sharing!

I agree- so much is about personal preference! Stick to what you love!
Will you please list the type and brand of the brush. Thank you!
On which makeover?

Hope you enjoy it! I'm so excited for you.
You are an artist!
Just getting started. How do you decide what color to paint? What colors are the go to colors for this year besides black and white?
Pinterest is a great place to look for current trends. But I just say paint with colors you like!
Ty ❤❤❤
Hi when you spray the furniture do you thin the paint in any way?
Yes I do!
Every time I do a paint wash the tannins peer through when I add the water based top coat. Why is that? Should I wax it instead?
Hi, I'm fairly new to refinishing furniture and I'm going to tackle refinishing a dining room table. What paint do you suggest for the most durable and water resistant finish?
I have some good options in this video..th-cam.com/video/XGT27QCts0c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DsE_vowJdyw_c0DP
@@ChristinaMuscari thanks
just EPIC!
Thanks!
What a good idea!!
Thanks! Which project did you like?!
@@ChristinaMuscari In fact, all of them. ❤️
Can you please tell me the complete name of the table top epoxy?
Desert DIY
What pieces need spray and what pieces need roller brushes?
Its a personal preference for the type of finish you want.
Can you share the color of the last item (sofa table) in the Beyond Paint?
It Linen.

I'm confused about the one at 5:00. It had a "stone" look at first, but in the final, I don't see it at all.
Thank you for sharing all these makeovers one more time. Love them ! Kara from Lemons to Lemonade is the friend you sent the furniture to?
You are welcome! You got it! It went to sweet Kara!
I’ve never used a sprayer, but wasn’t that sprayer too close to the furniture? That’s why I’m afraid to use one, drips.
No, the perfect distance is 6-8 inches. You learn as you go. Its trial and error.
Christina how about refurbishing baby and young children's furniture?
Nice idea!
What's the name of paint?
No way would kids leap over the back of the sofa! That is my favorite one.
Thanks. 🥰
Why do you no longer sell your furniture?
I think you sent that piece to Kara-Lemons to-lemonade.
You got it! She picked it up when she was here over the summer.
💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🕊
Why don't you sell your flips anymore?
th-cam.com/video/ZzaXoiT5vTA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vFjqTtSNXSvxj9dV This video explains it!

@@ChristinaMuscari what’s the name of it? If that’s true they should have a shoutout.
Pottery Barn look? They sell poor quality furniture.
