I have an ending for the story: he goes so crazy he forgets he was bleeding and all the blood disappears. Oh...well that differs greatly from my ending.... He becomes obsessed with the sight of another color and purposefully hurts himself and goes insane,just to get the sweet satisfaction of color until he inevitably dies of blood loss. It’s kinda dark
9:23 if you do end up making it, It would be cool to see something like every time he discovers a color it filled into the correct place in the world (after he bleeds things that are red are red) until everything is colored :o

A few red cartoon hearts pop-up, but instantly disappear. The girl is sad that the artist risk his life for art and she takes care of him, so that he doesn't go crazy and dies. One day, she can't take the pressure and starts crying blue tears. They both made art of those tears and fall in love all over again. New cartoon hearts pop-up and they figured out that they can use the hearts for red, instead of blood. They were so happy that they cried tears of joy, and choose to paint blue with joy. In the end they get a baby and gold/yellow hearts pop-up, the purest form of love. And the little familie decides to teach the world about these happy colors and the whole world gets colored.
So in my country we have this cartoon called "Smeshariki"(LaughtBalls?) and all the characters there are round cute animals, and so... your Policham fit's in there just too good XD
well true, immediatly my thoughts on how you could finish that short animation would be to first basically show the crazy and overwhelming side of being exposed to all those colours and then slowly slow down the overexposure feeling the guy feels and let the colours kind of settle into the right spots, like a giant wobbly brown blob sliding into a tree's trunk and him smiling and seeing the beauty of colour. OR you could show the overexposure but then bring it back through use of the bee having a yellow and black streak flying at him slowing down and settling on this overly bright pink or purple and it slowly take shape to be the bee and the flower you drew previously and him peering down and then looking out and seeing a field of flowers full of colour and him skipping into the sun and just genuinely looking happy about the colours. just an idea TrueGreen! hope you see this! love both u and Lucy art!

Then it skips to a time where he is the king of the land he lives on, which he painted using the colours he got. OR Its cuts to real life and the narrorator explains that this animation story was actually how all beings started off.
I got an idea for the ending for your 3D rubber hose animation. Maybe after the character freaks out he should be comforted by the old characters who transitioned into colour and then he feels better and him and the environment around him changes into full colour. But that's just an idea I came up. But maybe you can use it somehow?

You should totally finish that animated short idea Ron! I have no real suggestion on how to resolve it, just wanted to say it is a good idea and I'm sure you could make it look amazing. Oh and this video was lovely!
Here is another point of view for your story, maybe it will help: so he perceives everything visually in black and white, so does everybody, but when he sees something totally knew it can't handle it. Is something that can't be compared with any other experience from before (is as if you can suddenly see in infrared or something). Now first thing that comes in mind about human nature is curiosity, the need to explain something unexplainable. So perhaps your character might seek help, but nobody has the same vision that he has, thus making him appear as crazy
9:26 I mean, my first thought, that isn't gruesome or tragic. Is that after going wild and crazy about seeing colour for the first time. The character calms down a bit, and then decides to use the colour for something. Like an 'introducing fire to cavemen kind of deal'. Maybe he like drops a drop of his blood in a bucket of paint, and the paint becomes red. Then, he paint maybe a red sunset (since that's the only beautiful natural thing I can come up with that's red), and shows it to his other cartoon buddies. It's a bit gruesome to paint with blood, but that's why I thought he should mix a drop of it in with something. Because then it's less morbid like painting with blood, and more like the blood granted the paint colour. Alternatively maybe he doesn't calm down himself, and instead panicked runs to a friend (who happens to be a painter). When they see the blood they get inspired, and tries to calm him down by mixing the bit of blood with paint, then painting the red sunset. Thus, turning something scary for him, into something pretty. I actually like this idea better. I don't know if you'll read this or ever use it though. I'm just an idea person. So I'm sharing my thoughts in case they do some good

Also, thanks for the nifty character idea Ron, time to use that "Rubberhose 3D animation concept" as a bit of inspiration cause thats homestly wonderful. A resolution to that short could be that he’s not actually crazy and begins to see the entire color spectrum starting from red, then orange, yellow, green, blue, etc and he introduces color to the rest of his world after finding someone else who sees color.
