The paint makes the facesculpt look like an animated version. Almost like the Marvel Legends "What If" figures. McF is hit and miss with the realistic face prints.
I got both this one & the traditional suit. I took the traditional back to Target the day after I received it. I like the black suit better alongside Batman's Tactical suit. Also, I have several red/blue superman figures already. I'll also mention that there was something on his face around the hairline. It could have easily been removed but I didn't want to open the box & risk not being able to return it. I guess I'll never know. That figure NEVER made it back on the shelf at that Target. An employee probably purchased it lol.
Yeah I get where the employee is coming from, they saw the chance and they took it. That figure is worth a lot and hard to find these days.

Just got this one absolutely killer
The regeneration black suit way better even though I'm from kansas myself I'm a huge superman fan its just I like the black suit better but don't get me wrong I love the traditional suit to it's the kansas jayhawk colors.
I just picked up two of these at my local Target. I love this black costume, but they should have included a mullet head and made the cape detachable.

I am so glad you said what I was thinking. I hated that he was buried with a cape. The beard would have been a nice touch especially after all the shit they caught for erasing the mustache. As far as the figure I find it to be just ok the neck is too long and they could have fixed all the stupidity like the cape and who in the hell would have made a Black suit to bury Supes in, his mom? Ok sure. Lois, nope. Bruce, why and cringe.It makes no sense. I wish McF would have put his foot down because he proclaims to be a purist could have put his foot down and said ok, yeah black suit but no cape. But on the box we will explain why using the comic reason on why a black suit at all. This isn’t really pulling at my heartstrings so it will be a pass for me.

I found my way here after finally deciding to open this figure to put in my Black Adam review! Of course he was the very bottom of my stack of McFarlanes that goes all the way to the ceiling. 🙃
Having it in hand, I have to say, this figure doesn't deserve you! Dark days of McFarlane artic for sure. Dig your stuff, though! New subscriber!

bro i just got the same superman from target for $10 earlier and if i am not gonna lie it's a good action figure i just wish he came another head with laserbeams and the hands that are all fists and open hands. But overall my superman is pretty good it's a 10/10 for me
This is a decent Black Suit Superman figure. The head sculpt is pretty good. Having Superman in a black suit is a different look for the Man of Steel. However, the neck is way too long. A head sculpt with an angry facial would've been much better than the neutral one that comes with this figure. A few accessories would've been nice as well. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot!

@@TheReviewSpot actually, I miss spoke, my Arkham Knight cape tutorial is up, I forgot to upload the Superman one 🤭 it is a very similar method though. I have pictures on my Instagram, if you want to see those. Now I have to go find my Superman video and get it up. I may have to re-shoot it. Oh well.

I´ll say something regarding the Snyderverse. I was a full supporter of Zack. However, after knowing that he was planning to have John Stewart as the default Green Lantern I felt so disapointed that I´m glad it didn´t happen.
It´s not just that Green Lantern (Hal) is my favorite superherobut I´m extremely tired and angry that DC/WB mistreat him so. They think that all GL´s are the same and because of current times Hal should be replaced by John Stewart. That, honestly, is the most boring of the original 4 GL´s. Both Kyle Rayner and Guy Gardner are more interesting than him.
I´m sure WB/DC wouldn´t EVER replace Barry Allen for the New 52 Kid Flash (Wallace West). So don´t do it to Hal.
...and I wouldn´t mind if they´d have Hal for a while and then having Stewart take his place. But after Hal has been around enough.
Yeah they mistreated hal id love for him to have a second chance but id never reccomended guy in my opinion hes the worst lantern imo. I feel like it was a smart choice to go with john bc he's the second most well known lantern but yeah i fully agree hal is my favorite, and i hate how they do 0 stuff with him.

Regarding your comment about John Stewart that´s acutally a misconception. John Stewart seems to be well known/popular but that´s not true. People that claim to be so are the oens who watched the JL TV series. How many of them are there? It´s not like Game of Thrones that was the most watched TV series worldwide.
I´d argue that Kyle is the second most well known. Remember that, for the longest time, he was the only GL in comics. Similar to Wally West taking the role of Barry.
WB shouldn't have hired him to begin with. So they are indeed to blame.
