Actually this project seems quite similar to ones I've heard about when I was in China. Once when I was in China I got a chance to talk to some local people living in a city who told me that they were relocated from rural areas to the newly built city by the government. The government also provides these local people with incentives and benefits for relocating so the whole process is very different from picking up people and forcing them to relocate somewhere else. Which is what most westerners believe is the case. Even during the building of the three Gorges dam westerners assume that the government forced people out of their homes while the reality is that the government provided these people with a lot more benefit and compensation for relocating which included property and land in developed areas. Int he past the Chinese government worked on relocating people from rural areas to larger cities and now they are doing the opposite. I think this will become a new mega city, can't wait to visit the place. It's fascinating, the way the Chinese government is able to make these mega projects work is nothing more than a vague and unattainable imagination for most countries around the world. And another fascinating part is that most people don't even know about these mega projects taking place. It reminds me of the what Deng Xiaoping once said "observe calmly, secure our position; cope with affairs calmly; hide our capacities and bide our time and maintain a low profile"

They use new concepts to build new Xiongan. They did underground level first. Put all cables including electricity, internet, water, sewage ext into tunnels. So there won't be any telegraph poles on the ground anymore. If there is any problem with cables, it's easy to fix. Then the subway tunnels. The city plan is that for all residents there are only 5 minutes walks to kindergartens, 10 minutes walks to elementary schools, 15 minutes walks to high schools. Working and living will be all close by. They try to minimize the commune traffics.

The construction sites are the things on the surface, behind scenes, there is a 'brain' driven by AI technology managing the progress of all those projects, it is located in a government-based building. The Xiong'An city is not only built to accommodate people, there are lots of concepts being experimented with to direct the design of future cities. For example, huge pipes are being built underground for courier automotive vehicles, which will relieve the traffic jams on the ground. You can focus more on these new ideas to produce in-depth videos.

To build a city from scratch, that gives the advantage of planning far ahead.
