While not a Totally Accurate Depiction of what would happen to an ACTUAL Car or Train, this would make for a Good 'Operation Lifesaver' Awareness Video. Keep Up the Good Work! Recently Discovered Your Channel and Might stick around to see if anything Garners my Interest.
It would be cool if you took some ultra thin aluminum and stamped over the vehicle bodies and make one that would crush when hit. Judging on your train layout you damn sure have the talent to pull it off
Haha, this is hilarious Eric and not once did an engine get derailed and the vehicles only had very little damage. I'm glad no one was hurt and there were no law suits! Haha
I dunno how to feel about this. A few weeks ago the Model RR club I’m in (1:48 scale) was running a show at a rather popular resort in Texas, these two kids (probably 10-12 years old) put a car in front of a 2000 dollar locomotive. I heard this from other members of the club who were there that day (the reason why I don’t know what locomotive it was) I _suppose_ that this is entirely different, but I wouldn’t run a $2000 locomotive into a car.
The results are a lot different in real life. The model railroad locomotives and especially rolling stock are much lighter comparably to the toy car than a real locomotive is to a real car. The toy car is much more rigid as well. You can drop a toy car and it won’t dent. Drop a real car from a comparable height and it’s destroyed.
What will you think of next? How about a drone dropping a man onto a moving train like in the movie "Unstoppable"! Now that would be something to coordinate and film at the same time! Yeah, baby.

This reminds me of a funny video many years back on a train spotting TH-cam channel that had a compilation of trains crashing into cars at crossings. Apparently it has a few million views, although I don’t remember what the name of, the channel is called
Honestly a fun little video, someone who's willing to run a $3500 Acela set and hit cars with it deserves more views and likes!
