- This Is A Video of A Devastating Train Collision That Happened On The Day Before Saint Patrick’s Day of 2024.
Note: This Is NOT A Real Train Collision So Don’t Worry, No One Was Hurt.
On March 16, 2024,
Amtrak Train Number 6 Was Heading From Seattle WA To Portland OR. The Train Consisted One Baggage Car, 4 Amfleets, A Lounge Car, A Dome Car, One Sleeper Car, And Two P42DC Locomotives Number #11 And #150. The Train Departed Seattle At 9:00 A.M. Unfortunately, The Train Will Never Make It To Portland. Meanwhile In The Opposite Direction, Santa Fe Freight Train 615 Was Heading To Seattle Heading For The Amtrak Train. The Train Consisted Two Locomotives, Which Were Both C30-7 Locomotives Number #8052 And #8040. Their Pulling One Flatbed With A Semi Trailer, 11 Double Stack Container Cars, 2 Autoracks With Automobiles, 4 Hoppers With Grain, 6 Box Cars, 1 Hopper With Sand, 6 Loaded Tankers With Hazardous Materials, 4 More Grain Hoppers, And Finally A Caboose. The Santa Fe Freight Train Was Heading Towards To The Amtrak Train, However, There Was Way For Those Two Trains Can Pass Safely. The Santa Fe Train Moves Onto The Side Track, Then Stop Completely. The Signal Will Give A Clearance For The Santa Fe Train When The Amtrak Train Passes By On The Mainline, Then The Santa Fe Train Can Return To The Mainline. However, After The Santa Fe Train Moved Onto The Side Track, The Engineer Gets A Call On His Phone That Lasted 13 Minutes (A BIG NO NO). 10 Minutes Later While The Engineer Was Still On His Phone, The Santa Fe Train Ran The Red Signal At The Point Where It Was Suppose To Stop For The Amtrak Train. 3 Minutes After That, The Engineer Was Done With His Call And He Hung Up His Phone. However, He Didn’t Realize He Was In Big Trouble. The Santa Fe Freight Train Headed Back Onto The Mainline Traveling 67 Miles An Hour Towards The Amtrak Train Without Stopping Or Slowing Down. Unaware of The Ruthless Behavior of The Santa Fe Train, The Amtrak Passenger Train Still Continues South. Then At 10:31 A.M, The Crew of The Amtrak Train Saw The Lights of The Santa Fe Freight Train Heading Towards Them On The Same Track. The Engineer of The Santa Fe Train Also Saw The Amtrak Train Heading Towards Him On His Same Track. Both Crew Members On Both Trains Slammed Their Emergency Brakes, Duck Down For Impact And Then The Trains Collided. After The Trains Collided, Multiple Freight Cars From The Santa Fe Train Were Stacked On Top of Each Other Barring The Locomotives, Some Other Freight Cars And Even Some Passenger Cars From The Amtrak Train. 11 Passengers And 4 Crew Members Lost Their Lives. This Is The Worst Train Collision.
(NEVER EVER BE ON YOUR PHONE WHILE DRIVING MACHINERY)
I like how both trains are on different tracks yet they manage to crash
I was boutta say
My guy forgot what cartoon logic is smh (joke)
They probably got switched onto the same track offscreen, though
they just felt like it
Exactly what I was thinking!!
Very clever! Love the music choices too…really sets the gravity and mood!
Thank you very much!
Had me on the edge of my seat. What carnage. What destruction.
NTSB and the FRA did a thorough investigation that determined it was actually the engeneer of the amtrak train calling the engeneer of the Santa Fe fright train that caused the crash. It was discovered that the Amtrak engeneer call the Freight train to ask if they too were experiencing repetitive dejavou over the surrounding scenery dispite how fast they were going or how many miles they traveled . The worried fright train engeneer replied yes we have passed your train like 6 times already on the east bound main! WTF is going on! The responding engeneer missed the red signal due to he and his condutor checking google maps to see if they had ever even gotten out of Loopsville. The rest was captured on video. It was determined that a faulty Automatic Train Control safety device failed to stop the train after it past the signal ultimately leading to the accident. This case is officially close.😊❤
wrong
🫣🤫🤭😘
My trains cost too much to F them up.
Absolutely
Exactly.
Real
Cool video. Wow those cars really flew!!! 😂
A scene like this actually happened several years ago near Los Angeles on a MetroLink line near Santa Susana Pass area. Commuter train heading west toward Simi Valley Metro Link driver on his cell phone was distracted and blew a red signal, plowing head on into a eastbound freight . Many lives lost. Bill
Fun fact. In 1986, a few miles outside of Hinton, Alberta, Canada, a similar head-on crash happened where a grain car was launched up and onto a passenger car
CNN news: A local Amtrak commuter train crashed outside of San Diego, CA. With a Santa Fe intermodal train, the Santa Fe intermodal failed to stop at a signal after the engineer using his cellphone in the cab, 12 were killed and 35 are injured. This engineer will be held accountable for this crash.
And this is why you don’t use your cell phone on the job kids
Great video thanks for sharing
I don’t care about silly little details. I think it was very well done. It’s not easy to mix all that real sound with the video. Thank you. I hope you didn’t break anything.
Thanks For The Feedback. It Was Not Easy For Me To Make This Video Possible. Nothing Broke When I Did The Crash.
@@bnsfrailwayfan5997 I can’t even figure how to get my old vhs stuff out on youtube. Took a whole bunch 1986 till about 1994.
This might be the most tense thing I have ever watch, hahaha. Good job, I like the humour but also the footage.

Why do the C30-7s make GEVO sounds? Also Santa Fe never ran in Washington
You’re right, before BNSF it was Burlington Northern.
I Thought I Would Add A Perfect Sound For The Santa Fe Train.
@@bnsfrailwayfan5997I make good sound effects, if I do say so myself.😂😅
@@bnsfrailwayfan5997 Wanna hire me to do a narration for the next crash? John from West Virginia😁

So I get that the BNSF blew the red and entered the block, but how did they end up on the same line? The cut to when the BNSF switched to the inner line clearly showed......bahh, whatever, this looks like it was fun to setup.

Santa Fe in 2024😮
That Would Be Cool If The Santa Fe Railroad Will Return One Day, But This Is Just Made Up As A N Scale Model.
@@bnsfrailwayfan5997I have Union Pacific ES44s disguised as Santa Fe engines.
And was this real?
No, But It’s Based On Real Train Collisions.
Drug test for the crew…
No Drugs Detected. The Engineer of The Santa Fe Train Was On His Phone For 13 Minutes.
