I still have the oovee 156 and AP 150 sound pack. This DMU pack is nice but because oovee sorta died ima keep my old copy ;). Nice review! (yes ik im late)
Does the AP sound pack you have also provide sounds to the 153? Im looking for a sound pack for the 153 but can’t find one anywhere.

The class 153 has been neglected for years since its release by JustTrains and it is in dire need of a revamp to bring it a new lease of life in Train Simulator!
Also Yawwie... Please Review the class 37 packs! theyer SO good!!!
Armstrong powerhouse did release a sound pack for the class 153 a few years ago but for some reason they discontinued selling it which means if you buy the class 153 now (as I have done) you are stuck with the default sounds.
It’s a shame really because it’s a nice model with a detailed cab And passenger view. it’s just the sounds that let it down.

I suppose the reason the brake rub and squeal sounds are the same as the 150 EP is because they’re the same brakes, same bogies and same wheel sets. 😂

Yeah that’s a really poor version of the 150, and I think it’s still available on steam today! 😮 Even the old oovee class 150 is better.

I still use the Oovee class 156, Yes it’s not as good as the AP version but it’s good enough for me as I don’t use it a lot so not really worth me getting the AP version. I wish AP would bring back the class 153 sound pack as I have just purchased the class 153 off Just trains websites but annoyingly I can’t get the sound back for it as Armstrong powerhouse no longer sell it. :/

Are you serious a class 156 in its first ScotRail livery OK I live in Scotland but all 156s I think have been repainted in ScotRail livery but that one operated by northern isn't in its northern livery in fact its in its first ScotRail livery. Refurbish all of your 156s oh my god.

So I know this is a rather late comment but the actual braking on the 156 (and 150 from AP) is absolute tosh from someone who works with these units daily. You should be able to easily break at step 1 on these units and scrub your speed with that alone but these packs cannot do that. I will admit that the 156 is the best of the bunch for it but it is still pathetic compared to the real thing.
