Thanks for these tips - I have a north facing front garden that is in shade most of the day as the house casts a big shadow. I didn't think i'd be able to grow anything there so really happy I found this video!

Lemon Balm grows in shade. It’s perennial, great for bees, makes a wonderful lemony flavour for drinks and is supposed to be good for your memory.

Not always ..If you grow it hydroponically it thrives in shade, but in a soil it slowly dying😢

@@gardeningtipswithvicky 13 years ago I planted lemon balm at my son's house. It grew very well. I moved after getting married again and took a start with me. I have replanted over and over again. His has grown so well that he digs it and feds to pigs.

I'm really glad I stumbled upon your videos. I am a beginner gardener and I am learning a lot from you. I realize this video is a year old and I don't know if you will read this comment but I just want to say thank you for your content I have started gardening for a few reasons but mostly to help my grocery bill 😂 I want to learn to preserve my food from my garden as well but I guess it's one thing at a time 😊

Last year, I grew parsnips in a bed that was full shade most of the year and partial shade a month or two at the height of summer. I had a great harvest. Cherry tomatoes will also do okay in partial shade as they don’t need as much sun to ripen unlike larger tomatoes. Thank you for the other tips x

I collect mulch in the Autumn to get dead Tree leaves and people clear their gardens out of old dead plants etc, and offen leave it out the front in big bags. So when I see any of this I take a couple of buckets out and collect it for the following Spring/Summer. Then crunch it up with my hands while it’s still in the buckets, indoors sitting on the Couch, there is a lot of dead plant matter in the streets this time of year.

Cheers and thank you so much! Maggie:)

I like the way you created your garden and all your plants, flowers, fruits and many more especially your variety of your tomatoes. Here in the Philippines not that much variety. You really maximized your garden with every thing that need to be planted. Mother Earth is happy for you 🙏✌🤣 also the importance of pollinations and the used of decompost.
I like to have that kind of garden in our place.
    Keep safe GOD BLESS 🙏❤👍🇵🇭✌

Here’s a mulch tip. To move a large amount by hand forking it with a “potato fork” makes it very easy to pick up a huge fork full and move allot very fast. I can fill up a full sized truck bed mounded with mulch in under 20 minutes. It’s like a hay fork but way bigger with more forks closer together it’s like the size of a snow shovel but with forms.
