I went form the website to YT just so I can like this video. I've been learning along with Justin for about a month and this just gave me new wind in the sails, knowing that one day I should be able to do this. Now I'm going back to practicing my MIN cords :)
These are excellent learning tools for me. Where I struggle however; is when I try and play along with the recording. Once I get out of sync, I have know idea what chord they are playing in the recording to get back in sync. Thank you for all the content.
Not my favorite song, but my kids live it, so thanks for making me a hero Justin! Awesome lesson, really learning something new today - the whole funk rhythm thing is interesting (and challenging!)
Hi Justin, i recently joined a covers band after a year of absence (RSI Injury) Your videos are proving very helpful so thank you and keep up the great work :)
Oh this is what you're supposed to do. I was using the website and playing a single strum on 1 and 3 and wondering what the heck was this song supposed to be. This makes so much more sense. Though I'll have to learn D minor but should be simple enough.
Nice video, Justin! As always! ;-) I was looking and experimenting a lot to find a nice, funky rhythm pattern for the song "I will survive" for my school band. We are 3 (yes, three guitars in one band!! :D ) and everyone should play a different rhythm.... So I had to find a very different one then the others already have! Thank you for helping me! :-) (Sorry for any grammatical mistakes...! If you find some, you can keep them! Haha!! :D )

+Jimbo in Thailand After the live session I think Justin sets the video private and then he reuploads the recorded live stream into another youtube video
Justin didn't use any effects! Just a clean sound on the amp, bridge position on guitar and lots of practice to get a nice "sound" out of his fingers, if you know what I mean. That's all! :)
You are misleading us. It is impossible to play along the original recording with the old faithful style. It frustrated me. How am I supposed to play this along the original song when the song uses the funky style and I use the old faithful? the funky style is way faster
Your such a great guy. I mean you obvious a really good teacher, but you also seem like a really dope guy. Like "cool dad"
That "shhhhhhh"xD

This was more fun to learn than I thought it would be. Must be the GREAT teaching/teacher.

It's all barre chords
@@goingmilion The Bob Dylan version is just 3 chords. The Hendrix version is far more interesting

How about Wishbone Ash- Persephone lesson?

do you need a capo or can you play it without one?
You don't have to play with a capo, but it's easier than transposing the chords
The song tribute to Sir Mick!
Justin , can you redo the stairway to heaven solo ?! Please !!!
Could you do a lesson on David Bowie's cover of "My Death"? It's brilliant!

at "Strumming Pattern 2" he says last 2 strums are muted. How does he do that? I dont see he is touching all the strings to mute it ?

It might be a Tom Anderson
Bobby Wolfe ok thanks :)
+Delgado Tony It's a Suhr
+Joshua Benavides he's right... Headstock is similar, I took a guess
+Bobby Wolfe Or you could just read the "Suhr" on the headstock
amp setting?
You don't need a good amp setting to play a good song
+Sketchtastic ! haha that goes without saying. it's out of curiosity
+Chad Van Haaren one of the M Britt vintage profiles in the Kemper Profiling amp, fender but can't recal which.
+JustinGuitar Songs thank justin awesome channel!!
+Chad Van Haaren guess it's just the way I was brought up, plus I prefer to play acoustic guitar and even there I'm a bass play
What is your guitar electric name ?
terry
Long train?
OOPS!!! Don't know why, but every time I try to join one of your live sessions I get...
"

Sorry about that.
I'm subscribed so don't understand this. I'm at GMT +7 so maybe I'm just missing the window. Any ideas?"

Such a godawful song
do you need a capo or can you play it without one?
If you like to play the open chords (Dm, Gm) than you have yo use it to avoid Barréchords. :)
Karolin E. K thank you 👍😊

Sorry, I meant Dm and Am!
You're welcome! 😀👍
