I have 93a Dragons, Bones X97's, and these Radial Soft Sliders. To me, they feel more like the X97's than Dragons.
They definitely slide more like a 97a wheel!
Which one do you perfer more? The X97 or these SFF4 93A and why?
The bones V1 X97’s are my favorite wheel I’ve ever skated hands down
Talk about the deck Leon.
I have the EXACT same wheels. Rad wheels, very smooth but not quite as gunmy as Dragons wear into. Awesome to see someone way better than me at slides and grinds to put them through the paces.
Sick, they really slide so well!
Nice to see you hitting up my ‘local’ skatepark again. You skate it 100x better than I do though 😂
I have my eyes on these on radials shape. But I just got my Dragons and loving them so far. On transition and bowls they're amazing.
Glad you're enjoying the Dragons!
Good skating...
Thanks mate!
Thank you for the wheel test! Keep rolling fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd be down for some soft slider 97s that slide like my f4 99s but roll faster and smoother at Glebe, st ives, and especially mac fields where the concrete's lost that gloss (but isn't bumpy).
These are very close to that!
97s wouldn’t be soft tho?
Skated mine the first time yesterday. Awesome on rough ground keeps speed in the park way better than dragons
They are definitely the real deal!
Nice review Leon 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best soft formula yet! 🙌🏼
Leon, They ride and feel more like a 97A or 96A? And if you had to choose between these and the X97 which would you choose and why?
How do these compare to Bones X99s (if you or the homies have tried them)? I was thinking of getting those because x97s are a bit too sticky on nose slides/reverts.
I personally haven’t tried any 99a Bones wheels but these are much closer to the 97a X Formula wheels @@bakedbeings
Good question man! These feel much more like a 97a and both wheels are great but I’d have to say these Soft Sliders, only because the come in my favourite Radial shape and the still have that classic Spitfire sound 👌🏽@@jimmyhuang8730
@LeonPaxton Love seeing an Aussie review of these wheels! I've got a set of the 52m classics in the mail as we speak. As someone who seems to skate mostly smooth street parks, any reason you go for the radials over classics?
I tried my friend's soft sliders in a street spot the other day, and I was so surprised how little sound they made there on slightly gritty ground. I have the dragons on my street board, and they bark there normally, but these made pretty much no sound AT ALL.
Interesting. That's the reason everyone was talking down on the dragons. Because they apparently had no bark. I love the dragons and even if they wouldn't bark or would sound like a trumpet they would win over any other wheel
@@Janinamillion yeah I was speechless for a second. Maybe it would start barking once it wears out the top layer, or it hardens due to stomping tricks like how bushings break in...? Honestly I don't give a damn about making noise in public because I live in a small, crowded country. It's just a bit confusing and iffy which I never felt from Spitfire despite knowing how they would often wait until Skate1 to do something new.
Getting some
The nano cubics from powell with the dragon formula are the best! You can get them in 97a and in 93a - the real 93a!
We've skated the 97a Nano Cubic's and they were great!
The music in this clip
Thanks mate!
The best 93A wheel for those who prefer 97A and Spitfire wheels 😂
They're definitely softer than 97a. I have 97a wheels and there's a difference. The dragons are definitely softer than these Forsure.
Soft sliders definitely have to be in between 97a and the dragons
They definitely slide more like a 97a wheel!
I heard people guessing they're 95s
🐉🐉🐉🐉🛹🛹🛹
do these come in conical.
They are only made on Classics and Radials at the moment.
I’d be furious if I bought those and they weren’t a 93A. George Powell poured for 10 years, I’m sticking with 🐉🐉🐉
Exactly 💯 there cheaper in canada only 55$ while soft sliders are 80$
Yeah I think it was a solid move by Bones to print x99/x97 on the wheel to distinguish them from other durometer ratings.
Lmao talking as if durometer is standardized…
@@baggypop7536 We're not counting ASTM D2240, I'm guessing.
@@bakedbeings don’t ask me what counts lmao, i know as much as all the different wheel brands i have tried have all had different hardness with the same duro stated on them.
no shields on the bearing, lol what
They only released the dragon wheels under powell because Bones is not nearly popular enough
spitfires just copying powell
improving
cope
Doesn't matter, Spitfire has always been the better brand and the only skateboard wheel people should be buying
Supposedly they have been working on the formula since 2012 or something
