The psychological aspect is always a fascinating weapon in the Sith arsenal. It’s not just the Force and lightsabers as their main weapons. Malgus isn’t just the powerful brute I assumed him to be based on the legends I’ve heard about him. They really know how to attack the mind and I find it seems overlooked sometimes. Look at Sidious and Vader. Was a potent weapon in their hands. You see it in the films as part of the narrative and it makes it hard to ignore their words because they are right on some level.

Let's be real... All the Jedis that turned evil eventually only did so because their family or loved ones were left behind by the jedis. (To be fair i only know the movies and some of the lore)
They could have easily freed Anakins mom for example or given the brother of the girl in the cinematic a chance to do something else.
They know that the fear of losing a loved one can eventually lead to the dark side, but yet they do the same mistake all the time.

@@Blobb2013one of the jedis greatest flaws is thinking that emotional detachment is akin to enlightenment. It's a fine theory, but in reality emotions are a natural part of being alive. I'm not saying that the sith are right and you should just do what ever you want willinilli, but balance must be attained. To achieve true balance of self is to achieve oneness with the living force.
simply burying your emotions and pretending that they don't exist doesn't mean they aren't affecting you, it just means that you're going to have to deal with them later... and almost always in a very unhealthy way.

Obviously we can't get the same level of fight choreography with real life people, but I felt like I was watching an actual star wars movie for the first time in a decade. Went full screen and everything. Disney needs to stop shooting itself in the foot, fire literally everyone who's worked on the sequel trilogy and hire the talented producers of this trailer and people who won't try to cram some agenda that takes place over the actual story. I'm pretty sure the Rule of Two doesn't give one power. It was simply a survival mechanism to prevent the spread of weakness throughout the Sith by saying only two Lords could exist at any one time, one to have power and the other to crave it, with the idea that only the strongest of the Sith would lead and that they'd never grow complacent in their power, lest they be overtaken by their single apprentice.
Before, you had a powerful Dark Lord, but all the apprentices he trained could gang up on him and defeat him despite being inferior, thus the next generation of Sith being weaker as a result.

F**** yeah, man! The animations are so good. The Clone Wars would have been 10x better if it would have been made like this.

Something I realized is that most Jedi are good with lightsabers and most Sith are great at using the force in combat

interesting point about twi'lek biology, the lekku are part of their brains and when cut lead to personality disorders and raised levels of aggression.
idk if they took this into account or it was coincidential, but if you keep a close eye on her behavior through the film you can see this pretty plainly.

I absolutely love the line “All your life you’ve been in a cage Padawan…” however if he would have instead said “ All your life you’ve been in CHAINS padawan, when your ready break free” it would have hinted at the Sith code a lot more. Still an epic cinematic and really wish starwars was more like this

This is true Star Wars, the amazing amount of information, emotion, and story conveyed in a much smaller time frame than a single episode of Kathleen Kennedy's absolute garbage. The choreography was great, like a proper lightsaber battle should be. And the dialogue was very good. All in all, a solid 8/10

i don't think it stands true to the star wars lore though, the jedi in the clone wars era didn't force any child to join them whenever either a parent or child chooses not to they are fine with it, when ashoka left she wasn't forced to stay either.

@@thephoenix4093 The Jedi order changed vastly in the 2000 years between the Old Republic and the Clone Wars. Originally the Jedi would simply come to the force sensitive child's home and abduct them with or without the parent's consent. Jedi Padawans/Knights leaving the order were also not uncommon due to the strong allure of the Dark Side during the Sith Wars. So going off traditional Star Wars content it all adds up. To clarify why the Master would try to keep his Apprentice from leaving the order. Leaving while confused and upset like she was would easily lead down the path of the Dark Side which obviously is a path of suffering and loss

@@CharuzuAutomatonArtificer yes but according to the prequels the jedi's main flaws are that they haven't changed. yoda said so. which means they shouldn't have changed at all but that doesn't apply if they were kidnappers.

@@thephoenix4093 They were/are still kidnappers.... It was a common fact in the older Star Wars media predating the Clone Wars show in the late 2000's. It created a balance between the Jedi and Sith in the sense that the Jedi abducted the children in order to prevent them from 1. Growing up without learning to properly use the power of the Force and bringing harm to others. 2. Prevent them from being influenced by the Dark Side. I can find specific references to the old books and comics if you'd like in regards to how the Jedi took the children.

@@CharuzuAutomatonArtificer what do you mean by balance between the jedi and sith? the jedi thought the sith are dead. which means they have no reason to believe they would become one if they don't kidnapp them also, mace windu in the clone wars said that they don't kidnap children if either they are against it or their parents are.

I have this perception that the game developers are much more capable of comprehending the essence in many universes, as Star Wars, than movie producers.

This trailer really did humanize the sith without actually making a sympathy story. They told it as a personal perspective as to how the Jedi really ruled the places that they did and how they chose who lived and who died in real “galaxy”. Funny enough it offers truth to what others can perceive the Jedi as.
