    I went back and watched your modular dirt roads again and came up with three ideas. A stone road transitioning into a dirt road, and a dirt road that fords a river, which would also require a river video.

      Good question. I actually redid all of them because I didn’t like how they turned out the first time. I’d guess, without counting dry time, 8-10 hours of actual work.

    I've seen a lot of folks make a mix of Mod Podge and Black craft paint to make a combined sealing/priming step. Could be worth doing in future terrain builds.

    • @DiceChatter
      @DiceChatter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have done this tactic in the past. For some weird reason, I don't trust the paint/podge mixture to truly prime the foam. So, I'm happy to take the extra time to do that concoction separately. Though, I always appreciate the feedback and wise suggestions!

    Did you PVA the sticky side, then apply MORE PVA before adding the squares? Or did you just add PVA to sticky side to stop it from sticking and then used the other side for the foam squares?

    • @DiceChatter
      @DiceChatter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First thing you said. I know it may seem odd to add PVA glue twice. But this allows you to be able to adjust any foam you are placing down after the first initial PVA glue drying layer.

    I am considering using vinyl tiles for my own modular roads and rivers, and I am wondering to what degree they are warp resistant. Your roads looked nice and flat so did you need to do anything to counter-act a warp, or do these tiles just naturally resist warping?

    • @DiceChatter
      @DiceChatter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They warp a tiny bit. Not bad. But they are also a little flexible and you can easily bend them back, no harm to the tilework itself.
