I don't want to be "that guy", but in case you ever get into trouble over something as menial as this you should consider deleting it. I know we like taking the piss out of American cops but people abusing their position to make a point is in no way exclusive to the US.

Recording police while informing them that they are being recorded, in public, gets you freedom to do so pretty much anywhere.
