I would keep silk worms bc my terrestrials will love them and my arboreals will love when they turn into fun flying treats!
Like the names of your Ts, feeding videos are always exciting! Never can predict what’s going to happen!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked it!
So beautiful to see how they hold their prey between their jaws❤
indeed! They are pretty cool animals!
Great and gross video. I like silk worms. They are cute when they become shy puppys
Thank you Chantal!
You have a beautiful collection of spoods. I got a B.hamorii sling a couple of years ago to help me get over what at the time was crippling arachnophobia. Now I have 8 entertaining 'horrorhamsters'. Love your content!
This was one of the best videos ever
Thanks so much! Means a lot! 🙏🏼
I love your collection Dayyan. Do you have a green bottle blue? That is currently my only tarantula and I love her!
Thank you so much! Yes! I actually have a presumed female!
Omg I'd keep silkworms after I saw, from your video, what they turn into 😍
🦋
@@Reptiliatus the cutest little moths ever 🥹
Thanks for bringing us on the feeding video. As cool as these creatures are, I don't think I could ever own one.
I currently breed dubia roaches and have 5 breeder boxes that are technically my pets as they are only for breeding.
I keep red runners for feeders. They breed like mad, are easy to maintain, and are very kinetic. So you get some great takedowns from your animals 😎
Very cool! We can’t have those in Canada unfortunately :(
Superworms, they are easy to keep.😊
Very true!
I think keeping feeders is the one barrier to my wanting to keep spiders, scorpions and centipedes. Cant deal with crickets, absolutely not roaches. Possibly BSFL if anything. Still thinking hard about it. I'm in Australia so an Australian tarantula or a trapdoor on the consideration list...
My tarantulas are incredibly picky when it comes to feeders. Prefer getting crickets instead of anything else
A lot of them really respond to the movement, that's often why!
Do you have any Grammostola pulchra to be in feeding videos
I have a large female who unfortunately miss-moulted a few months ago. It wasn't good, but I was thankfully able to save her. I'm really hoping I can get her to moult successfully next time as she gets around okay and can feed herself.
So happy to see your numbers growing... you deserve it! Also, OMG THAT FANG!!!😮😮😮
Thank you so much! Right?! I wanted to share because people don't realize how big they are!
Whoo I'm very happy to see some more tarantula content!
I just got a bunch of tarantulas this Christmas and they're so cool! I got Harpactira pulchripes, Haplocosmia himalayana, and 8 Pterinopelma sazimai slings 😊 (I got those as freebies while getting the first two). I love tarantulas because unlike most exotic animals they are very easy to take care of and don't take up too much space, but are equally as cool. I got into the tarantula hobby last summer and now I have 17 of them, if things keep going this way I'll have a whole minizoo in the future lol 😅
Fantastic new additions! My P. sazimai is pretty slow growing haha. The H. himalayana is a species I haven't worked with yet but had considered doing so a while back! Enjoy them and thank you for watching!
Hissing cockroaches are my pick.
Where will you be rehoming them Dayyan? I would love to know so maybe I can care for some of them. I have 10 plus tarantulas and I am interested in knowing which specimens you are going to “downsize”
Hey y’all.
My girlfriend, who’s the sweetest person I ever met, doesn’t want me to get a Goliath bird eater… what should I do???
Doesn't sound like she's sweet enough... ;) jk
Do it anyway
Hahaha i love the way Brachypelmas and most other new world species make you flinch they get me every time to. There feeding response is way more intense then old world species.
Atleast in my experience.
Have a great Day dayyan.
Kind regards Ferdi S.
OmniusFS exotics
Strawberry Shortcake...LOL :) I do keep Dubia roaches as pets. They are actually pretty smart and come running when I feed them. They are also an excellent cleaner insect and don't bother the reptiles at all.
Your stirmi male looks penultimate. I wish you success with breeding!! Your lady stirmi is stunning! I had to give up all my Theraphosa and pamphobeteus because I became extremely allergic to their hairs 😢 Broke my heart, but I’m loving my big pokies in the new world absence.
I also have a tiny N. tripeppii that I can’t wait ti watch grow!
QOTD: I’m cheating cuz I breed them…. Hissers!!! If I didn’t breed hissers, though, I’d definitely say silk worms! So. Cute!
Thank you very much! Yes, I agree that I think he is too! Fingers crossed I’ll be able to breed them! I’m sorry you had to give them up! Urticating hairs are brutal!
I would raise the tobacco hornworm, I love the blue colours and they are hard to get hold of in the uk for some reason
I never comment on TH-cam vids, making an exception for your tarantula feeding vids, I love them and hope you decide to keep doing them❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! You bet I will!
I love your videos! I actually would love to keep silkworms as a pet, I think they are so cute! I just would have to research a lot of know how to keep them
Thank you so much! Great choice! Someone else said the same! 🐛🦋
Sky puppies 🤍
Great Video :) is there a Chance that you just show in one video all your spiders? Even if there aren't showing off? (Just a quick showing off what species u just like and got) It don't have to be a feeding vid. And just if its not that time consuming.
Thanks very much! That’s certainly something I could potentially consider working on!
I ate some blue raspberry licorice. Didn't have gummy worms, but it did look like the horned worms. Lol
Hahah
Yay another tarantula video! As for the QOTD, I would say dubia roaches since I always feel slightly guilty feeding them off to my bigger tarantulas or my reptiles, so they get fed off more sparingly than the crickets 😂.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing! Great choice 🪳!
Can you do an update video on your MBKS!
Hello great video feeding and information Dayyan
Thank you for always supporting!
Qotd technicaly wrong as it is no insect. I keep isopods as feeder and Pet. I hate the crickets that got loose in my living room.
Works for me though! Thanks for sharing! ☺️👍🏼
Thank you so much for the tarantula content! You have such a gorgeous collection! For the question of the day, definitely sky puppies
Lovely tarantulas.
Strawberry shortcake is beautiful.
Like their names.
I rescue dogs.
Everybody has got to eat. Personally i like the grab but not so much the wriggling worms. Come the photo field some.
Best takedown? Brazilian Whiteknee tied with Brazilian Giant Blonde because these are two of my alltime favorite Ts and anytime they move, they're awesome! ❤QotD? Hornworm, because they're incredible as larvae, but then they become Hawk or Sphinx moths and were the moth used in The Silence of the Lambs, and so, yeah - no contest 😉
You are literally contradicting yourself. You DO seeing them as JUST pets if you just want females and got multiple of them to increase that chance. Don’t lie to your viewers. This is why I stopped watching. Hypocrisy.
🤣 mmm gummy. a fave for my bigger tarantulas right after a molt, especially my t vagans. my avic avic is convinced that they're the devil tho. i decided going into keeping tarantulas, that if any molt out male and are a less commonnly available captive species i'll send him off to live his best life with a breeder, but otherwise, the sex doesn't matter except for potential lifespan expectation setting. i see a lot of folks cycle in the hobby, overload themselves by going full pokemon (gotta keep e'm all!) when they're slings while forgetting that little 1/4" darling is going to need a 10 gallon enclosure at adult size, and having to downsize as they mature for space reasons alone.
QOTD, probably silkworms. they're neat and the cocoons are a source for spinning silk, yes even if they moth out. i've kept a few hornworms through their metamorphosis and the moth is gorgeous.
Sorry if my comment last invert video made it seem that I was agreeing with anyone who thinks you do these things for the content. Definitely nope from me. I like all of your content and it's your love for these animals that really makes your content *chef's kiss* prime. I think what I was saying is something about creep factors and that people have varying opinions on kinds of animals. I've always loved both sides of content, "creepy" and "wholesome." To me, crocodile skinks are incredibly wholesome. Heck they look like they are smiling little dragons. Feeding videos would be considered creepy, but I still love it. I think I said something about having two channels. I was just sharing my opinion. My opinions come out as advice because I teach for a living and that's a hard habit to notice or break. You're the best keeper in this hobby in my opinion. You know your stuff and you're always a joy to watch. I recommend your content to anyone who I think could benefit from learning about the hobby or life science in general.
Still not a fan of spiders no matter the size. lol won’t say what I do if I see them, specially the black widow or brown recluse ya and where we live we get both. And I have been bit by the black widow not fun. (I was sleeping.) lol tfs ❤😊
Awesome video!
I don’t think they’re usually considered feeders, but I keep and breed a bunch of isopods 😊
Do isopods count? My geckos eat one every once in a while, that I see. I have a colony of Giant Canyon Isopods growing and I may add to an Argentine Tegu enclosure when I build it.
Dion, I think you are so awesome. You make me laugh and are so genuine. Loved today's video. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
10:59 hey! Thats my tarantula's name! She's a costa rican white knee!
Question of the day: I keep hissing cockroaches. I just like them. I think they are really cool
Hey my friend I hope u really keep up the upload schedule and I truly enjoy the tarantula content I absolutely love reptile content as well however I won't lie I get a lil envious lol when I do the red eye skink lizards I absolutely love love love them !!! But it is really nice to see u posting more frequently and I truly hope u keep it up
Ahhhh strawberry is really beautiful the tripepi is one of the ones I recently saw on kats vid she recently did and while I knew of them I don't know why but I never noticed just how beautiful they truly were and hadn't really seen them showcased until I saw that specific video And was made aware of how awesome they can be and now I really want one
Question of the day, I will love to have a silk worm because They have protein and iron and other things
If I could keep any feeder insects it would be hissing cockroaches I love how unique they are and they have nice colors
I found your channel because I was looking for tarantula videos a few years ago and I stayed, I have enjoyed your content and continue to do so. Thank you Dayyan. 😊✌🏼
I love how you have empathy for the feeders too, I'm the same with the creatures I feed to my beardie. I feel bad for them but I know it's part of life.
I would definitely keep silk worms for a pet. As a matter of fact when my girls were at school, the school had a mulberry tree and the school staff collected silk worms and mulberry leaves and sent them home with some students. So we got to see them turn into sky puppies 😊
Idk I guess if I had to pick a feeder to be my pet I'd be torn between some hornworms or a large roach species like hissers or cave roaches idk what they are called but yeah they are like the biggest roach species I think plus I like those metallic roach those are super beautiful
I am gonna try to get a bioactive tank with pothos and spring tails but my main question is if I have spring tails do I need a drainage layer?
Probably mealworms. I've had a colony for 15+ years.
I will always love watching a tarantula v gummy worm feeding 🫶🫶
I don't see Kat or Richard comments about the gummy worms
just curious, have u gotten bigger enclosures for sabzi and basil? 36x18x36 is kinda small for 2-3 years old right?
Haha, wait and see next video 👀. There we’ll be a sneak peek of one half of the enclosure..
My favorite feeder insect to keep, is probably the dubia roach, I have a whole colony of them, I can just sit and watch them for hours, probably one of my favorite animals that I keep.
Awesome! 🪳
I love spiders! I want all the spider
Another great video!! Thank you.
Do you have a video about raising healthy feeder insects?
Thank you so much! I haven't done that yet actually! Maybe I should sometime!
I would keep silk worms. They all kind of benefits. If you let them grow up, they are beautiful moths.
🐛 awesome!
But i want again ask you this: do you use UVB for your crocodile skinks? Love your videos 😊👍
I usually offer uvb to all my reptiles/amphibians but I have been hesitant to offer my croc skinks in the leap habitats uvb because the enclosures might get too hot with the leds and the fact the rack unit is setup in a closet space (more inclosed walls. The other croc skinks have 6% uvb over them all. I haven’t noticed any differences in health, etc between the groups but I always advocate offering the right level of uvb to your pet herps whenever possible :).
Wow....
Amazing
Thanks! 🕷️
arachnid’s and insects are a work of art.
I love this comment! They are quite beautiful, aren’t they!?
@@Reptiliatus honestly they really are I love how the coloration the shapes they come in I’m curious tho would you ever consider owning a camel spider?
Silkworms! Sky puppies!❤
I'd keep isopods as pets, there are so many different types. My daughter says silk moths to get the adult moths or isopids
Great choice!
Well I keep madagascar hissing cockroaches as pets sometimes I feed off babies
Those are so cool! I saw them in the wild in Madagascar!
the gummy worm bit made me recoil
I had no desire to keep an arachnid until I saw that gorgeous blue & cream colored one you have. Can’t remember what she’s called but WOW! “What a beauty!!!”
Glad you had a chance of heart 😉😊!
Really beautiful creatures
So jealous of your M mesomelas
Thank youuuuuuuu
Lots of love and respect and greetings from me in Amsterdam the Netherlands 🇳🇱 😊❤❤❤
Thank you!
@@Reptiliatus ☺️😁👋
I think super worms are pretty cute. If I could keep them as a display pet, without metamorphosis taking place, that would be awesome!
That's a great idea!
Qisqa elk 69
Silk worms might be interesting to keep as a pet. I love watching Ts eat. The quick jumps to the gental grabs never fails.
I do love sky puppies 🐛🦋! Agreed! 💥🕷️
My tarantulas love the adult moths of horn worms, they go nuts for them!
@@bugloverspiderlover8490 Thats awesome!
Cool video! I love seeing the N. Tripepii, I have a sling, can't wait for it to be all grown
Thank you! I love mine! They are so fluffy 😂!
Those Theraphosa are insane!
They are impressive spiders!

Least you could have done was try to find a blue gummy worm.... 😅
I did! The store usually has them! 😂
@@Reptiliatus fair. I wouldn't want to hunt for them either. Still enjoyed the gag.

Nice video, those worms color was beautyfull, and the attacks of the spiders awesome. I will be waiting for those rehousing arachnid videos 😍 By the way, when coud we expect an isopod video update? even if they are shorter videos, maybe a begginers guide since your last video about isopods was so long ago. Keep up the good work 😄
Just started with some isopods!
Nice!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
🙏🏼
The juice spraying out from the worm with the salmon bird eater was a crazy hit
Deffo would be a discoid roach (cave roach)
They are great!
@@Reptiliatus but if I was to keep a tarantula species I’d deffo choose a stirmi there so awesome I had one and it passed but it was a different type of attitude with that species 😅
Yes tarantula content
🙏🏼🕷️
😮😮😮😮😮

Thos poor worms!
Spiders have to eat!

Thanks for watching!
Sei un grande!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
“Yikes aroo!” is my new favorite exclamation. 🤣
hahahaha
@@Reptiliatus Did you just named that male Burgundy Goliath Bird-Eating Tarantula after Chewie from Star Wars? And by the way, I'd be more worried about getting bitten by an Orange Baboon Tarantula.
@@jefferykelsey absolutely! Haha
Ahhh I could watch these feedings for hours 🤩
isopods!
Awesome!
Love tossing these to my bigger T's. Do you ever struggle with the timing of how the gummies grow and when it is time to feed them to your animals? I guess with having so many animals something can always eat them but sometimes they're a good size and it's not time to feed :( great video as always!
Thanks for watching! Yes, they offer them a nice big meal! I don’t usually run into that problem because there is always something that can eat the biggest they’ll get 😅😂
Have you ever feed a big tarantula a frog ?? Would they even see it as a food source ? 🇺🇲🇺🇲🪖🪖👮👮🚓🚓
