I have an 06 325 i and the best mods that are relatively cheap are replacing the shifter, the carbon fiber lip spoiler, debadging the 325i branding, putting on black or carbon fiber stickers on the blue parts of each BMW emblem throughout the car, plasti dipping the grill and then lastly installing new headlights. All of these things really dress up the car and subtly make a huge difference. Plus it still looks very classy.
I have a 328 07 sedan, and you are by far the best BMW channel I've came across. I hope to make a video on it in the summer after a bit of modification, but you sure as hell helped me scope a future look as well as maintaining mine at the moment. Keep up the great work.
Jus bought a 320d wagon myself like a week ago, found your channel by accident, very good job dude, keep the good videos up! I really enjoy watching you do stuff with your car
Nice video. However, you do NOT want a watertight seal as you suggest here 1:01. The tape will never fully prevent water from making its way into the gap, especially water vapor. But a tight seal will hinder liquid water from getting out once the vapor has condensed. Stagnant water accumulating in the gap can lead to corrosion of the body panel or even cause the spoiler to detach in cold weather when the water freezes and expands. It's best to leave small gaps in the tape so water can easily escape. Ideally the gaps would be in downward sloping areas of the body panel.
You should make another video on how to remove the spoiler. I have a new 750xi that came from the factory with a $550 mineral white metallic spoiler on the back that looks ugly (but the car was on the lot and had this option installed already). It just doesn't look right on a car that large and conservative. It looks fine on yours in carbon fiber. Also, on my old 335i, I had some 3M tape installed by the dealer (service bulletin....under warranty) that cost $250 and it prevented the door from rattling and keeping the door's metal from tapping the frame of the car. You should make a video of all the different types of expensive 3M tapes BMW uses in their cars.
I have an e90 BMW as well with the same spoiler and also did the 3m adhesive. That tape has lasted me 4 years and it shows no signs of coming off anytime soon! Best way to install IMO!
Hey justin, great video, but one thing, you always used to explain why you like the certain product and when you say it looks way better at the end of the install with cinematic clips playing. Like on the gloss black grill install, the yellow tint fog lights, the debadge, etc. Take care bro, great vid, nice trunk lip!
JB! awesome stuff you post! I almost had a solid 09 BMW x3 manual on my hands, but I did not pull the trigger quick enough. Anything I need to look out for buying a used M model bimmer? I know high mileage could be risky @ 80K +, but I know they are solid built and better if the owner baby it. Would you ever go that route for a M model?
Hi bro, nice spoiler, how's that 3m holding up so far ? especially after taking on the highway drive, if you bought the tape online, do you have a link to it ? Thanks, Cheers
Sick man, I have the same one but I don't really like it anymore. It suits a black car better though imo. I'm gonna get the m performance carbon fiber spoiler next 👌
Hey Justin! I'm hopefully gonna get my first car soon and ever since I was a kid, I've always had a thing for beamers(favorite car brand). I am specifically really hoping to get a used 2013 bmw 328i. Do you know what like the common problems for that car is? I've been trying to do all the research I can, but I just can't seem the find the best info. People say it's a great car, most reliable bmw, and other half say don't ever get bmw's. What do you think? I understand as a luxury car maintenance will always be more expensive than cheaper types, but honestly, I'll just work and put money into it y'know? If I'm going to drive and have a car for a long time especially for my first one, why not have the car you want and have fun driving it right?
The reason being to why people say dont get bmws is because they're afraid to be money pits. My first car was a 1999 bmw m3 manual and it NEVER gave me a problem (121,000 miles at purchase, 149,000 at sold). Just bought a 2008 bmw 328xi manual with over 143,000 miles, and its as reliable as can be. Just ride them easy, and don't rough house them. Im currently 19 and have been able to afford these cars and buy them full cash simply because I shop for parts and shop my mechanics and make sure I know what the costs should be before hand. You should be fine, just remember, always do your research before hand. It may take hours and days, but in the end its worth it. Cheers!
hey man! I installed one on mine, it costed me less than a 100$ with the screen (that I put on the cup holder), the camera, cables, relays, cables, tape, and a power adapter! +Justin Buice
Joe Liu That is a little bit expensive, but I'm assuming you have the iDrive system, and they had to remove many parts from the interior to retrofit it on your screen. For my case, I purchased a small screen from Ebay that gets power from the cigarette lighter.
+wallkosh i persoanlly would not take my car through an automatic wash because they can damage the paint amd leave swirl marks on your car. But it should be fine. This tape is tough. My dad and i were pulling in the spoiler after it was installed and it woudnt come off
I'm about to buy a carbon fibre lip spoiler for my liberty gt, I'm not a fan of drilling myself but is it not very easy for theft for anyone that knows a double sided tape is holding the spoiler? I don't want to throw 350 dollars in the trash if I install it and then the next day it is stolen.
I've looked into it but the LCI has a different trunk lid since the tail lights are a slightly different shape. so it would be close to $1000 to do the full conversion (new tail lights + new painted trunk). In hindsight, I probably would have just bought an LCI, but I didnt know much about BMW's at the time.
Justin, even though i live in NYC, i saw this dude selling a Black LCI trunk with barely any scratches, looked new, black sapphire for 300$. You never know sometimes you might find a steal.
Your car looks so good! If you haven't ever considered it, Khoalty.com sells some really good looking "blackline" tail lights for E90s. Would really look great on your car
Justin, I'm In the market for a used 328i. I wanted your opinion on the 2011 year, I found one with 50k on it for 12,300. Anything I should be looking out for or tips? Thanks !
Pre-Purchase inspection is very important to get before buying a car! Also, if you're not gonna turn your own wrenches and want something reliable, the most reliable 3 series for the e90 generation are the 328's. In terms of what PayneTv just said, dont go back 4 years just cause of a reflector which is really easy to change. I changed it on my 2013 328. Theres a lot of other things they changed from the Pre-LCI to the LCI 328. (Pre-LCI means pre-facelift basically) Theres interior tweaks, exterior tweaks, the taillights are different. I always came to learn the last year of a car's generation is technically the perfected one without all the weird errors of the other ones. They learn from the errors of the years prior, mostly engine durability wise. Plus resell value will be better on the 2011 than the 2007. Take care man, and congrats that you're taking the right step in life and getting a BMW LOL!
See, thats also what I pointed out. The 335 is less reliable, the 328's are the way to go, unless you care about speed, and wanna throw a JB4 tune on it. The HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) is notorious for failing on these cars, and is reoccurring. Any non turbo e90 bmw is extremely reliable tho. I know even justin wold agree with this.
I need an opinion on buying 2008 320i with 195,000 kms on it. Is it okay to buy car with that mileage? It looks good on the outside though. And do you reckon used 3 series will cost a lot to maintain?
because it's kind of a ricer thing to do, adding these kinds of mods to a non-performance car as if it were a wannabe M car. if you want the M car, buy it, but you don't need to make that $5k bmw a ricer
A 3 series may not be considered a performance car, but they have plenty of performance which is the reason why the many people in the BMW community modify them. A 335i is barley slower than a e46 m3 stock. But since its not a M3 i guess it would be rice to modify it
No you sound stupid.. i had the choice of getting a older m3 or a more modern 3 series and i went with the 3 series. And my 3 series is barley slower than a m3 and more reliable. Ill modify my 3 series just like thousands of other bimmer fantastics, while you dream of one day owning a m3.
I'm looking at getting an E90 3 series and your views have been insanely helpful
glad I could help!

thank you for posting this, im still on the fense with 3m tape and betalink, im use to drilling to install spoilers. This video does help
I have a 328 07 sedan, and you are by far the best BMW channel I've came across. I hope to make a video on it in the summer after a bit of modification, but you sure as hell helped me scope a future look as well as maintaining mine at the moment. Keep up the great work.
+Kahlil Spivey thank you!
Id recommend clay baring the area just incase there’s any grit or contamination that will spoil underneath and may let water through causing bubbles
Jus bought a 320d wagon myself like a week ago, found your channel by accident, very good job dude, keep the good videos up! I really enjoy watching you do stuff with your car
+PetraitisM thanks!
Awesome. I'm new to the bimmer world. Your videos are really helpful bro

quantenmoi thanks for this, I was about to install mine till I read this -_-
Looks so good, you should get a license plate cover to really make the rear end standout.
I used to have one on my old car. for some reason the dealership threw it out when they switched my plate over and I never replaced it lol
this guy made me buy an 06 330xi and i love it,absolutely no problems with it for 115k miles too
nice!
Great vid. Easy instructions.Good music.
Super sick bro carbon fiber spoiler on black Beamer, looks good
Im driving an e92. Thx for adding link for the e92. Keep up the good work. :)
+Kim Magnus Sørensen no problem :)
Black line tails would look sick!
sweet, I will try in my 318i. You are the best.
some shadowline tails will go nicely with that spoiler

Epic X Gaming didn't mean to put salt on his wounds. I am really sorry about it
That looks cool Jason..I want change kidney grill & then spoiler on my f30..
Always!! thanks for new stuff!
my pleasure!
I like this, how has it held up, any issues with it moving or anything?
Looks good, I'm was considering that for my 128i. Simple install, no reason not to now.
do it!
Andrew Underwood how would a 1 series work with a lip spoiler?
Awesome! Any recommendations for my 2011 328 xi sedan
How you feel about it after a week and any problems with it moving or not staying in place?
Hey justin, great video, but one thing, you always used to explain why you like the certain product and when you say it looks way better at the end of the install with cinematic clips playing. Like on the gloss black grill install, the yellow tint fog lights, the debadge, etc. Take care bro, great vid, nice trunk lip!
+Shumile Swift good point! I forgot all about that
Its cool to hear why you bought something, idk what it is about it, but its something a lot of you tubers don't do that you did.
Hey Justin, I am planning to buy the 1 series BMW and I live in Colorado... tell ne what you think please
will this fit my 328i xdrive 2010?
JB! awesome stuff you post! I almost had a solid 09 BMW x3 manual on my hands, but I did not pull the trigger quick enough. Anything I need to look out for buying a used M model bimmer? That tape doesn't work. It'll last 4 months top.
You have to buy 30LB double sided tape, used that for my lip, it's been on my car for 2 + yrs
What 30lb tape brand? Have a link?
@@thermalnoize 3m of course or gorilla 🦍 lol
I have the auto 3M. I don’t think this shits gonna hold with tape alone. The fitment isn’t even flush with the sides of the top of my STI’s wing.
It’s a carbon fiber gurney flap btw
Where did you get the fatlace sticker
I got it from their website many years ago
Love your how too Vlogs..
Any excess adhesive when removing?
Love your vids
+Aguila Diegi thanks!
I did this but in some spots it pops up and I push it down and it pops back up again. Some spots of the spoiler doesn’t fully sit on my trunk
Hi bro, nice spoiler, how's that 3m holding up so far ? especially after taking on the highway drive, if you bought the tape online, do you have a link to it ? Thanks, Cheers
looks great
will you be changing the tail lights?
Sick man, I have the same one but I don't really like it anymore. It suits a black car better though imo. I'm gonna get the m performance carbon fiber spoiler next 👌
Amazing, nice vid
I HAVE THE SAME LIP ON MY 328i
is there a spoiler for M3 E93 ever produced? those links on Amazon only fit sedan and coupe not a convertible
can you do a video how to viynl wrap rear spoiler
That looks cool! 😃
+Eugene Cody thanks!

Engine wise I’ve had issues with valve cover and gaskets
damn lol wish I had one of those in my closet xD
Nice, bro. I'm doing this soon!
awesome! good luck!
Awesome video Justin!! I have a question, do you have a back-up camera? If not, any plans on installing one?
Thanks! I don't have one. I don't think I will because the car has excellent visibility and It would probably be expensive to install.
hey man! I installed one on mine, it costed me less than a 100$ with the screen (that I put on the cup holder), the camera, cables, relays, cables, tape, and a power adapter! +Justin Buice
that's really really cheap......I just installed backup camera and parking sensor (aftermarket ones) for my 15' 328i GT for $1280 :(
Joe Liu That is a little bit expensive, but I'm assuming you have the iDrive system, and they had to remove many parts from the interior to retrofit it on your screen. For my case, I purchased a small screen from Ebay that gets power from the cigarette lighter.

can anyone show me where I can find this style of spoiler? the link is sold-out
thank you In advance!
Do you have your windows tinted, if not I say you should .
my windows are tinted except for the front because I got a ticket for them.
Can you do a plastic dip tutorial . Maby on tires or something, because i swear i could never plastic dip correctly :////
+aaron ortega i have a video where i plastidip my window trim. Its in my DIY playlist
i just got e46 don't know what to start of to mod
so how much did you pay for this spoiler?
I'm about to buy a carbon fibre lip spoiler for my liberty gt, I'm not a fan of drilling myself but is it not very easy for theft for anyone that knows a double sided tape is holding the spoiler?

+IMFIGHT INFUTuer i had them done professionally
Justin Buice ok, thanks
Your car looks so good! If you haven't ever considered it, Khoalty.com sells some really good looking "blackline" tail lights for E90s. Would really look great on your car
Nice but a CSL trunk would look a lot better.
Justin, I'm In the market for a used 328i. I wanted your opinion on the 2011 year, I found one with 50k on it for 12,300. Anything I should be looking out for or tips?

Gotcha, thats what i will do. Thanks for the tip!
Get a 2007 328i manual. 2007 338i don't have the gay reflector on the front bumper

+Gansgta Tech thanks!

Giacomo Serpe BUY ONE NOW!!:)

You can't buy a BMW if you buy Apple products.
I need an opinion on buying 2008 320i with 195,000 kms on it. Is it okay to buy car with that mileage? It looks good on the outside though. And do you reckon used 3 series will cost a lot to maintain?
Is this the bootleg eBay one?
Help me buy a bimmer please im broke af.

I'm a test driver for Toyota who's just bought his first BMW. I'll never go back.
Spoiler alert...
Man Red golden
the fitment is bad
uh.. i think you forgot to peel the otherside of that tape
should've just gotten an m3 instead of just trying to look like one
Matthew Robinson so just becuase its not a ///M means a 3 series shouldnt be modified?
