You showed GE circuit breakers at about 2:45 in the video. I was wondering what the little medal tab is on the bottom of the GE thin circuit breaker. I just had an air conditioning system installed in my house and they are using a circuit breaker similar to the GE thin you showed. Why is it there? It doesn't seem to fit in my panel correctly.

Not what I needed. You did not show or explain the different kinds of breakers, but you only showed different brands of breakers. For example, why does Square D QO have 3 connectors, and some have 4 connectors on the back to attach to the panel, and both are 30amp double pole?

Ok, I have a problem finding a breaker. I need a 15 amp "stand alone" breaker that can be mounted to a base without having a buss bar. I have 30 amp single pole breakers of the type I am looking for; but you didn't show any such breaker in your video. The ones I have are Square D and have 2 mounting tabs, one on on each end. They have screw lugs on each end for attaching the wiring. The ones I have are basically a "slim line" (or half width) breaker. I would prefer to use a breaker for my application rather than an in line fuse. The system is 120 volt.

The Home Depot carries Schneider Electric's Square D "Homeline" and "QO" series miniature breakers, and one can see that they're physically not interchangeable. You only mentioned the "QO" series in the video. The value-priced Homeline breakers cost one-third to half less than the QO breakers, lack the visual trip flag and don't trip as quickly. Which one would be the better choice in a panel retrofit or in new construction?
Does each Pole have to be on a leg of the bus bar? Meaning where there is a slot for the bus bar on a dual pole is it okay for just one side to click in, or does both have to click on?..

I need to decide if I want a Square de QO or homeline.. ugggg. I like the copper bus of the QO but everyone says they don't stay in the panel well. Any advice?

Nobody ever answer the simplest question, how to read the amps on double pole breakers. Not 1 channel on yt tells u, not 1. Is a double pole that reads 30 on each side is that 60 amp breaker or 30 amp breaker.

I have a question for you... did you ever come across a Eaton Cutler Hammer ( Black) which is a double pole but one tab is 30 amp and the other tab is a 15 amp tandem??? the 30 taps are green and 15 amp are black, so what I mean is on the same breaker you have 30 and 15 amp... so the 30 amp is lock together with a pin to the adjacent breaker.

I think he got distracted talking about the quick off function. They have two clips in opposing directions. One clips to the bus bar and the other to the body of the box. So they snap straight in rather than sliding behind a hook.
URGENT ! at my friends house i was shown a circuit breaker panel with a thin metal across the switch. i think it would prevent the breaker from turning off but my friend told me the thin metal was to save energy. have you ever heard of this ? Ps. i tapped on the tin and i think its non conductive. not 100%
The only reason I watched the stupid video was to see what the footprint of the Square D breaker looked like and that was the only one that you didn't show. My Square D circuit breaker has a clip on one end and a clip on the other end that is 90 degrees from the other one

Everything you show here is newer than what I have. Right now I have a Federal Panel with screw in fuses and a sub-panel with pushmatic breakers!

Zinsco lost its UL rating and I recommend replacing. If you can’t afford it at least have an electrician check it for sparking.

I have a Bryant type BR double pole. What does type BR mean. Many companies make type BR but you said it's not interchangeable.
Really- your discussions on the differences are thin vs. fat and tan vs. black? How are they different specification wise??

My whole Development is fitted with C-H panels. Would you consider it an upgrade to replace the whole panel with Square D?
I have seen three of the Square D's get loose on the bus bar I like the knife type bus bars much better.

I have an old ITE panal. It had one breaker that is two single poll and one double in the middle. It’s weird. Have you ever seen this type?
The federal pacific "FAT" is a NA series and the thin line is a NC stab-lok the third in this series is a NB B is for bolt in
You can use Classified Circuit Breakers in any panel regardless of what the manufacture may claim.

A 15 Amp will cover everything, none of those. Will pull any amp load. Hope this helped..

Depending on on how far, but anywhere from 6-2 Awg for 20ft - 100ft
