  • The so loved XRider has been revised and it looks as sleek as ever, this lifestyle oriented bakkie still looks good for daily use, and can do the heavy lifting if ever needed.
in this video I took it for a drive, we will also look at the price and compare it with it competitors which are the Toyota RaiderX and the Mahindra's Pik Up Karoo.

The 1.9 L engine is the only thing odd about it and puts a lot of prospective buyers off.

They should have given it a 2l engine with at least 125kw and 400nm of torque. But I'd still get it but in manual. Taking it in auto with those numbers is not enticing.

@@lesediseemela9856 you should go work for Isuzu and design the engines. You must be an expert

The 1.9 is a fast seller and the most sold compared to 3.0L.

    Is the 4 x 4 a good buy?

4x4 is always a good buy and a good option to always have especially if you have a bakkie cause you don’t know when you will need it. But if your entire usage of the bakkie will not involve 4x4 then might as well save money and get a 4x2

I see that the facelifted D-Max has been launched in Australia, its an improvement over this one. My take is that the "old instrument panel styling" and the 1.9 L engine will be the D-Max's achilles heal when the new Triton, new Navara are launched. One can get a more powerful good demo or used Hilux or Ranger for the same price as a new X-style and I see buyers opting for those options instead of what the market will assume is an underwhelming driving experience.

Interesting take✅, i did see the facelift from au, been trying to get my hands on the triton and navara they seem more than worthy rivals

Why would i buy a hilux when i live in South Africa? But your point is valid. I like the looks and the fuel efficiency. I'd go for the X Rider but in manual. Manuals are meant for under powered vehicles.

I like the bakkie concerned about 1.9 engine

It does mean less power than most bakkies, but i believe i would go for it, i would opt for the manual variant
