    Greetings from us in Ireland. It's really good to hear and see from you again, Ryan and Melodi. We started being a bit worried about your absence. But we understand the why of it. We can see you have a lot to learn, and so would we.
    We look forward to hearing/seeing more of what you have been up to. 'Til then.

It is really amazing to see how things are turning out well, but alas, a very long time to go. All your fans will be following your journey with interest. Take care. From Newcastle, England, UK

    Maybe online, you can invite, a wilderness experience, work party, work exchange, people can come camp out with you, on your island go fishing help chop down some of the brush, or help make trails, with mulch, from your mulcher. I useed to camp up on some wild land in Upper Pennisula Michigan,

    You don't need a string, for fire, just get pine needles, or pine gum, or grass straw, or use a plastic bag with water, and the sun, use it like a magnifying glass to burn the grass, to start a fire, or make an old fashion drill, or get 2 pieces of wood flat together, use the friction back n forth rubbing them together, with a little rolled up piece of cotton between the 2 flat pieces of wood, just rub them back n forth fast, until it starts smoking

    Do Not filla or remove skin from a trout to cook .Cook with skin on to avoid scorching trying out and meat falling apart.After cooking the meat will slide out of the skin easily. I like to it the skin with it. They don't have ugly scales. All other fish that you catch there , you need to filla ,remove skin. The bones will pull right out of a trout after cooking as the only have fine bones that are all attached to the back bone. I don't fool with any other fish than trout. Although I have eaten other fish but to much prep.😅

      @@mywildholm Do you know what breed Opal is? We have a male dog, Jack, who is nearly identical to her. We got him from the humane society so nobody is really sure what he is but we think he is likely American Staffordshire…any thoughts?
      BTW: Jack is the best dog ever! Looks like Opal is as well!

    • @mywildholm
      @mywildholm  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @erikeaston2783 awww... Opal is a rescue from Mexico. We got her a few years ago and she is a very anxious, nervous dog who is unpredictable and has bad mood swings with Ryan. From the moment they handed her to us, she was my friend but not so much Ryan's... it's sad because he adores her and there are days it appears as though she likes him and then... she has a bad day! Eeekk... Over the past year on the island she seems to be thriving. She is afraid of everything, bags, suitcases, you name it... even the floor she walks on. She would pace and pace for hours so we had to put her on a leash so she could settle and sleep... she's doing better and I love her. She is so so fiercely protective of me. Just a darling little doggy really.
