This bike is growing on me! I testrode it a few weeks ago and it's a really good bike. And those bits and pieces TEC comes up with makes it so much more "wantable"! A smooth and yet faster pickup engine, small indicators and rearlight...well, you've all seen the film! Looks so good!

I’ve noticed that the stock pipes sit below the level of frame, it would be great if your low level pipes sit higher than the frame so the lowest part of the bike becomes the frame. It would look good and make jacking nice and easy. Keep up the good work!

Bike is looking good. Karmakaze Moto channel had his Himalayan exhaust ceramic coated black, looks great. The Commando Roadster had a short seat showing off the rear subframe loop, an exact copy would look good on the Interceptor. May have to buy one of these Royal Enfields.

I have to agree with your comments about the engine and power train on this bike. I now have 4000 kilometers on mine and it is Super Smooth and a complete pleasure to ride. I now find myself driving more at a nice relaxed pace and just enjoying the ride. I still have the stock pipes, love the sound< and have kept the bike almost stock. The bike runs so well that any small changes for me are not worth the bother. The best bike i have ever owned.

The bike’s looking great. Your point about the Ducati Scrambler and Street Twin was Interesting as those are the two bikes I’m considering. The standard interceptor needs a fair bit of work to make it look good in my view, whereas the Street Twin looks good out the box. I guess there’s a big price difference though to spend on customising. Particularly like the rear light and indicators on yours.

In Virginia, USA. I ordered the SS-304 mufflers today for my 2020 650 Interceptor. May install a 742cc kit next Spring. I have a 2012 Bonneville SE and 2012 Thruxton to compare the R.E. to. I agree the Enfield with its extra gear, lighter weight and ABS is hard to beat. The TrIumphs were $2,000 higher in price eight years ago, they are $10K now.

This project is great, many things that I'd do to the bike, if i had one I'd definitly go with the chromed tank version, the reason for this is I fell in love with the Interceptor 750 Mk. II when i first saw it in 1969 at the age of 14 and I have yet to see a more beautiful bike, however that's what I'd do, to make it look a bit more like the original: Chrome metal mudflaps rear and front with braces, original handlebars, wich are more nice looking, original shocks to the rear, rubber bellows on the front fork, the only thing that would be left alone is the frame, although I don't like that straight line from the back to the front, the original has a more sweeping curve to it but it would be to big a work I think. Eagerly waiting for the next episode, Cheers

You've nearly sold me on one of these, especially with what you are starting to make for them! Looks like I might get shot of my Ducati... The Enfield's are designed for Indian roads, so not much difference to British ;-) I've ridden an Enfield in India and some of the road are pretty sweet, long sweeping curves down the Goan coastline, lovely, then again, some are horrific!

Nice to see the progress you've made, although, progress I expect cannot come quick enough for many. I watched the video on how to de-restrict the Street Twin, it makes you think on how Triumph and Enfield engineered these bikes to suit the markets they were aiming at and how much you will be able to improve the overall performance of the Interceptor.I like the look of the Flat Track Triumph with its 2 into 1 exhaust very nice and I understand Enfield intend to offer mag wheels for the Interceptor in the near future, progress every where eh?.....

  • @paulshackleton3594

Definitely a flat tracker to start and watch it morph into a full on scrambler to get a view on both. Plug and play wiring harness would be good for the lights and blinkers. Any plans for shorty cans. Still think the shorty ones you guys do for the bonneville are the best sounding out there.

  • @Larry_Mott

I really like your videos and mods - except the indicators.. : ) IMO the ultimate retro look would be to fit the old Z900's winkers on it. I am probably too luddite for my own good but i can't get my head around the mini LED jobbies.. They just look silly and aren't far enough apart for my liking.

I have had the stock seat on mine recovered ribbed brown, pillion strap and full Gel. The first 500 miles before this were painful! I noticed the adjustable levers but can't see them for sale yet. Also how is the development of the luggage rack? A few are on the market but the mounts are only on the grab rail, they will never last.
Excellent project TEC Bike, my vote is flat tracker.

This is the great thing about these Enfields - they are a relatively cheap canvas to customise as you like. My aim is to give mine a retro '71 Triumph/Norton/BSA look, with slightly lower handlebars. I'm wondering if those pesky footrests that have cut my shins could be replaced with the slightly rearset controls from the Continental GT.

Wow, what a great project. You and your team are doing some amazing work. Some of my thoughts on the project...
    - The billet headlight brackets: Perfect. Honestly, I don't believe you could have done any better. Those are exactly what should be on that bike. RE should take note, for future iterations of the model.
    - The handlebars: Love them. I'm not a fan of chrome and the simpler style you've gone with is just right for the look that you're going for.
    - The bar end mirrors: Fit the theme and are a personal preference on this style of bike so, big thumbs up for going with them.
    - The airbox modification: I like where you're going with this, and am very interested in seeing what the end result will look like, utilizing dyno results to further the design.
    - The sump guard: I like your design much better than RE's design. The only thing that I might suggest is to offer a version that has vertical slits for ventilation, instead of the round holes. This is just a personal preference, based solely on aesthetic appeal.
    - The exhaust: This is SUCH a subjective subject that I'm reticent to even offer an opinion, but what the heck. I like the wrap job that you did, and I really like that slip-on. If I were replacing that exhaust, I'd be looking for a full stainless, matte finish setup.
The rear shocks: Another job well done. The black finish makes them 'disappear' into the bike, and not call attention to themselves, which is how it should be with shocks.
    - The rear light/indicators: If you were to offer that setup as a kit, I think you'd have a hot selling item. That setup compliments the bike nicely. It's modern, but still fits with the overall design of the bike.
    - The foot pegs: I'm very interested in seeing what you come up with, as the peg location and build quality does tend to elicit complaints from just about everyone who rides the Interceptor.
    - The oil cooler: This is just me being curious and not having experience with an oil cooler setup. Would it make sense to experiment with a bigger cooler? I live in hot, muggy Florida and am a bit concerned about the cooling ability of the stock setup.
Just some of my thoughts. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see the next update.

The late '60's Bonneville had the best sounding exhaust note of any bike I've ever heard. The BSA A65 Lightning as well. This bike seems to be a higher pitched note. Is it just the recording and playback, or is that the way it sounds? Loved that deeper throaty sound!

Sump guard, bar risers, fat bars, rear lights and indicators. Very interested when will the parts be available? Not sure about the end cans, sound bit too noisy for my tastes.

fasthracing Wholehearted agree; it’s be great if you could buy a complete kit 👌🏻👍🏻
