The peg adjusters sound ace, you'll sell tons of those, everyone seems to have a gripe with the factory set, they are positioned awkwardly on the Interceptor, making stops, start town riding a chore as they snag trousers every time you put a foot down

I have this in silver spectre in India and I cant tell you the smiles and admiration on Bangalore roads when people see this. I am asked right from the Auto rickshaw drivers, students, working professionals. I would have thought nobody would bat an eyelid given the Enfields are so mainstream, but its surreal. There is something about the aesthetic minimalistic beauty of this bike that speaks to so many people.

Hi , Although this is an international project , RE and India as a nation should be very proud of this new motorcycle and what it represents for Indian manufacturing.
It shows that the UK and India can still work together very successfully. This new bike shows what great potential India has for producing world class goods. This bike has made everybody including myself take a long hard look at the way the motorcycle industry is heading . Established mainstream makers in Europe and Japan will have to react fast or risk being overtaken. Just like the UK in the 1970's. All RE has to do now is work hard at growing the brand image as it has suffered from lack of new models and technology for many years, but RE still has a large heritage that it can build on and I can only see great things ahead for RE and India.

Those original brackets/indicators didn't look too bad on video. The replacement indicators should really be positioned further away from the headlight otherwise, at night, they will get lost in headlight glare. This is a big bugbear of mine with car design - with some cars front indicators are virtually invisible at night. On the Interceptor, I would make sure they were outboard of the forks and/or at a different height.

Couldn't agree more.. I see a lot of cafe racer builds in the internet which sport led indicators on the suspension and sometimes even under the seat.. those might just get you past the regulation but I wonder if a cager will ever be able to see them regardless of day or night..

Really interesting video. I test rode the Interceptor the other day, and like you, I was well impressed. I've just booked marked your website, and subscribed to your channel, as I can seriously see that either the Interceptor or the GT could be in my garage next year. Will be great to follow your improvements to this bike. One thing I'd like to see is some side rails so you can put saddle bags on. before you maybe chop the rear end. I think Royal Enfield are onto a winner with these bikes. Lets hope that the reliability is there too.

      Hi
We have just made a prototype luggage rack that will be in production soon, as Royal Enfeild don't have one in the accessory list for these bikes. They do have pannier rails though so probably not worth us making them.
At first we will be looking at styling options for those not wanting to chop the frame. We are going to go through several stages of customising on this series with easy and reversible changes first for the people who just want to personalise the bike. To more radical changes later in the series, with the bike morphing at each stage . Probably ending up with a full street scrambler .But we will see how it develops with input from viewers.
Then we will look at the motor which should prove interesting !

Several reviewers have commented on the position of the foot-rests. As I understand it, with feet down at lights etc, they tend to be right where you want your lower leg to be so they dig into your calves. A foot-rest package that alleviates that issue should sell well.

If I were to put on the exhaust cans and a high flow air filter (the stock seems restrictive). What would that do to power? Even the new street twin - the 900 at least - has smaller discs both front and back than the RE as far as I recall. I am not sure the tyres are the same, the RE has a tubed tyres and the street twin is tubeless. As far as I am aware, the pirellis on the RE were designed for it specifically, because of the the need to have a tube in spoked wheels. I stand to be corrected though.

Great to see your tackling the RE , as you said its so like the Triumph in basic concept its a natural move . The
foot-peg position seems to be an issue with many so a reasonably priced adjustable option could be a big seller.
With the instrument cluster why not design an adjustable plate that could be set at different angles ? …. would suit
different tastes as I don't think everyone would want them more flat . I know you liked the performance of the rear shocks
but to me the piggyback style is totally out of keeping with the retro style of the rest of the bike …. I think a good quality
standard shock would be a popular option.

The issue with RE trying to re-introduce to the United States is that there "may" be ONE dealer in each state. No one seems to repair these bikes except for RE making maintenance difficult especially when the closest dealer is over 100 miles from your residence. It would be nice if there was a bit more communication from Royal Enfield about service centers/upcoming dealer locations.

What the fudgecake, friend.....why have I not stumbled across your vids before? First of your work I've seen, I don't have an Interceptor, jusr recently passed my test as an old fart new rider, probably can't buy a new Interceptor without being killed in my sleep by my wife, but.... And its a Mariah Carey-sized butt......I am now instantly so subscribed and utterly hooked. This chap sounds like Lewis the tv copper but could talk all day and not get boring. Thats it, you've doomed me to early death in my bed by my wife's hand or at least divorce court as I am now finding hiding places I can stash an Interceptor with all your mods on! Just got to raise the funds now.......know anywhere I can sell a kidney?! Thank you kindly, friend, looking forward to watching all your work I can find on YT. Good man yerself, take care, bloke

I heard the seats are not good for long rides.any options for this?

I think seats in India are different to UK bikes so hard to comment but when I saw the demo India spec bike it had very soft foam.

I don't have a motorbike but am very interested in ylur engineering knowledge.
Regarding your LED indicators, it seemed to me that because of the reduced offset other road ussrs would not so clearly understand the biker' intention.

Would look quite a bit better with black header pipes as opposed to the pipe wrap, imo.

Is there any way to increase performance, which is noticeable and still be EU street legal and to keep it reliable in ling run? S&S 750 kit is not, and slip on exhaust wont make that much difference...
