Nice, i created a melody, WHERE CAN I FIND COOL SOUNDFONTS? I mean i know there's everywhere and you can look up for them easily but if you're searching something specifically, it's hard af to find what you're looking for. For example, i want to use soundfont instruments from Underswap (an Undertale fangame) and i dont know what and where to search.
I dont know exactly what soundfont underswap uses but I would assume the earthbound soundfont since toby fox uses it for undertale and deltarune. I Put them in the description btw hopefully you can find what your looking for.
this some of the best advice i have ever heard, i've tried looking for so many tutorials but they're just extremely boring, drawn out and incomprehensible. thank you for this
Tbh I'm also somewhat new to writing songs. I just wing it. I just have to listen to my own track and make sure it sounds go. That or just look at other songs for reference. There is music theory that helps you make unique chords but I'm still learning that myself. This tutorial is just the first steps I took when I started music production maybe I'll have much better info when I make a part 2.

That's unnecessary to steal ideas 💀☠️
That's copyright.
Well, 90% of music does that. And it isn't stealing its inspiration as long as your not directly copying it

I don't wanna be a 🤓 but the ABAC "formula" is just within 4 beats
Time to do some stuff.
you said that toby fox uses earthbound soundfont does that mean all soundfonts can be used for commercial purposes like games???
You should be fine using them. Toby fox uses them all the time. So do other game devs.
My only question is how do you write unique chords and how do you make said chords sound good?
- By the way loved the video

Do you plan on doing that Part 2? I'd love to see you cover equalizers, limiters, reverb etc. Anything Toby Fox covered in his music twitlonger
I will eventually. I got other plans so it might take a while
