When I think of amazing adaptations I think of the Sahara desert ant, which has several adaptations for extreme heat tolerance. They come out during the hottest part of the day, when their predators are all finding shelter, to scavenge on the carcasses of insects who didn't manage to find shade in time. Then they use the sun and an internal pedometer to navigate the shortest path back to their nest.

A little less ""lesson plan"" a little more 'come check out this interesting thing I found.'
...or let's get silly while exploring this interesting thing...
That's just my $0.002 AdSense. I'm a SciShow fan much more than a CrashCouse viewer though. This just feels more like Crash Course. I sub'd for the silly questions with your manfriend ;)

There are just too many to choose from. I think that echo location as an alternative to sight is fascinating. Especially as some blind humans have learned to perform a version of it.

Good video, though, I don't think using birds is a good idea for showing flight adaptations. All the things you named (feathers, hollow bones and eggs) where all there before birds developed flight. Perhaps you could have pointed out their enlarged chest muscles or lack of teeth (to reduce weight) rather then the other things. The way you presented them sounded like those adaptations developed *so* they could fly, instead of being their before-hand, but then made more efficient once they developed flight.
I personally would have used bats as the example. Their wing membrane, back-would pointing knees and echo-location where all developed so they could fly in the dark, out-competing birds for smaller niches like pollination. Honestly, you should do some topics on bats. They do *not* get the credit they deserve.
Also, my favorite adaptation is the hand and elbow. Tiktaalik, the Mudskipper and the Handfish have all evolved hands and elbows, even though they live(d) in different environments and have completely different body plans. So freaky yet so cool!!!

my favourite adaptation has to be the snail shell. Just the way it grows is amazing. And it's so pretty!! Also, hermit crabs use them.

Floating shoulders are a definite favorite given the many effects they have on how cats move and pose as well as the things they help allow cats dow do, such as squeeze through tight gaps.
