    Hi PJ Chen Awesome video tutorials as always. Clear and concise. PJ, sometimes when I chose a single surface, only half of it is selected. No matter how I joined or merge them, I only can select one half of it. How to join the supposedly single surface as a whole instead of two halves? Thanks.

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI BoonKok, Because the surface you select has a "seam" on it. Seam is where showing in a darker line. Even you join two surface together. The seam will be there. I suggest you to more the seam to other places before you do any trimming if you can.

    Hi PJ ! Can you make a video about boolean commands, sometimes I use the boolean union command to merge two objects but not.

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I suggest you to check on naked edges on both objects before you boolean. if both objects are the solid and boolean fail. It is usually the seam is 100% line up. You just need to move one of the object 0.01 units. Let me know if it is still not working for you. you can send me the model to pj@pjchendesign.com

    Thank you PJ ! Is there a way in the reduce to decide if I want the mesh to be from triangle/ poligon/ trapeze or rhombus? Thank you, Hadar.

    • @PJChenJewelryDesign
      @PJChenJewelryDesign  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      the "reduce mesh" command only can reduce by the number of polygon or percentage. However, there are "triangulate mesh" and "quadrangulate mesh" (under mesh )to turn them into other shapes.

      Jewelry career options are always the important discussion in my class with students. It is hard to put the entire long discussion in 15 mins video. but I will think about the possibility.
