Stunning...l love the deep reds and golds too....what ever happened to the incredibly marked Koi you showed with black oytline all the way around each orange (not red ) pattern....made it look like a 'cloud' pattern on a cat!
Depends the amount you feed and the current in the pond, which they swim against. My pond is small, (800 gallons) so I don't feed too much, and have calm water. These discussions have said that depending on filtration, they need 200 gallons per fish. They are so awesome, when you make your pond, I'd like to see a video!
+Hippie. Hipster Madness Long term I would not suggest any koi in a 300 gallon stock tank. For a quarantine tank that's not a bad idea. IF you are just getting your feet wet you can put a small group of young koi to learn and understand. Make sure you install filter on the tank as it is an important part of keeping and raising any fish.
I want to get a male and female and keep one of the babies but I don't want it to breed with it cause that would cause health problems and deformities I think do you have any advice
+Kyrell Davis Breeding isn't super common so it's not as big of a concern as you may thing. Additionally the koi breeding with their off spring isn't really a bad thing.

+Kyrell Davis Breeding can cause stress on the females. Breeding isn't a sure thing just because you have male and female koi. Just enjoy the koi.
