You did a good job breaking down this role. Once it’s understood where the media fits into the world of edgerunners they can be exciting and useful. My group was confused why this role is in the game but then we decided “they’re like gonzo edgerunner journalists with a GoPro, a backpack full of surveillance equipment, and a Channel 5 News Uzi.” Their stories can generate income, bolster the crews rep, pit gangs against eachother, get heat off your crew, and turn up opportunities for runs. There’s a media in my game named Dustopia who works for underground network Más Media and he often hires the crew so he can be on the bleeding edge of developing stories. He’s always recording, so good firefights and RPs get bonuses at the end of runs.
Thanks for these videos they are very informative. And I like the way you individually break down these roles with insight on how to personalize them and make them more fun to play.

The more attractive a character is, the more likely they are able to persuade people to do things for them. Attractive people are the focus when they walk into a room. The Media wants to connect with everyone that they possibly can and it helps when you're attractive. In Red, the attractive stat was removed because biosculpting can make anyone beautiful and beauty is subjective. If your Media is going to be on TV or the net, it helps if they're an attractive person.
