Thanks for this awesome review! I signed up with Personal Capital last week, and today I linked all of my accounts and followed your video to quickly know how to navigate. Thank you thank you!!! 🙃
I do my own investment management... which is slightly aggressive. And their assessment shows my allocation performs 12% than the recommended allocation.

for me, it all comes down to connections. Personal Capital will not connect to my local credit union. Mint and Quicken do. I'd love to use Personal Capital, but it's a no-go for that sole reason. Before you get too far into one of these products, make sure it connects with all of your financial accounts (mortgage, checking, credit cards, etc).

THanks for the info. I personally haven't encountered that problem with PC. But, you can also input manually, if you'd like. As I've mentioned, I use quicken and have a personal capital free account as well. Thanks for writing in.

Loved watching the video, even given these apps aren't available in my country. I think they're a fair way downstream too, whereas the average working person needs to get started with expense tracking and shooting for a good savings rate. While Quicken was the go to for a long time (30 years!) I'd suggest there are better applications for a wider customer base today.

Thank for watching Matthew. I agree that in order to maintain financial control and grow your wealth for tomorrow, you need to track expenses and income and invest for the future.

I want to have a financial program to start now to help me prepare my 2024 taxes. Is this doable on Empower? Can you get 1 year summaries of income/expenses on a rental property, print out the years taxable business expenses, etc.? Thanks

Empower doesn't offer the report customization that you need, I don't believe. If you have a rental property, I'd go for Quicken or possibly even Quick Books. Thanks for writing in.

Thanks Don. I've never used the Mac version. I appreciate your insights.

@@BarbaraFriedberg The biggest part missing the mac version is the retirement planner, to me is the soul of personal finance!!

@@Allegan49010 Yes! Retirement planning is key. Personal Capital has a great "free" retirement planner. (I use both Quicken and Personal Capital free tools) - Here's a link to the personal capital retirement planner www.roboadvisorpros.com/go/personal-capital-retire/ [affiliate link]
