Hey Sandro, I don't know if you remember me, I was the guy asking for help with the really hard Toyota C-HR paint a month or 2 ago. Your video on the Clio and your suggestions really helped me out. It turned out, that the car was ceramic coated, and had really soft pain underneath, I just had to remove the ceramic coating. It had such soft pain in fact, that just by wiping the paint off and applying the ceramic coating, I unfortunately induced some microscratches on the paint. But from a step away the car looks gorgeous, and I want to thank you for it, because I learned it from you. Right now I'm working on my own car, a Mercedes from 2008, if you're interested, I would gladly send you a picture or two via email, or maybe even a video, if you'd like to make a video about the cars your fans/viewers are working on. And once again, thank you so much for your amazing content, keep up the incredible quality of work that you do.

Hi Sandro. I have to say you are my number 1 online detailing guru. technical and no gimmick. I have question. What microfibre you use for coating levelling. What gsm, does 80/20 blend is important?. I’ll give you a link to some new cloths I’ve been using to level coatings down and they’ve been working excellently www.waxit.com.au/collections/microfibre-products/products/aquatouch-captain I don’t really have a dedicated video on coating work flow but I go through it in the last chapter/section of almost all my detailing vlogs trying to add different information each time
Feel sorry for you guys, down un VIC with the lock downs. Glad I moved to Cairns, when I did. If I was down in Melbourne, Id deffinately get you to do a job on my merc.
Sandro, i know its not optimal... but i do not have a shop. Any tips on applying these techniques OUTSIDE in what would be "optimal outside working conditions" Again Thank you. This knowledge is going to change my life. I have no doubt in that. Cheers
I was mobile for quite a number of years and it’s really all about just reducing environmental factors as much as possible. So starting really early helps keep the sun at bay, moving the car to have the side your working on in the shade, asking clients if they have a garage or cart port you can use and really just shortening a lot of work times to compensate for heat that limits how long you can work a product in before it causes issues. In a bit shell it’s about adapting to your environment and keeping an eye on every process.
Any logic behind doing the glass coating first vs the paint coating first? Been thinking about this lately and wanted to get your take on it. Cause either way it seems unavoidable to get some slight coating transfer onto the paint or the glass. Thanks for that feathering tip! It’s one of those things that just seem so obvious in retrospect. Amazing as always Sandro!
You’re right that’s there’s going to be arguments either way, but I guess for me the paint coating is something I like to leave till the end and not have anything wiped over or into it besides the coating at that stage. But I don’t think it’s necessary better or worse, just my own preference 😀

WOW !!! .....Looks great, but the upkeep on black paint is to much. Hence the white car I have in the garage. Really good series here and I learned lots. Greetings from Canada
Really appreciate you saying that mate, and I’m definitely open to using FK1000P, I use to use it a lot in my mobile days but I’ll have to see how to fit it into a video!
Hey Sandro, been a huge fan of your channel since you started. just wanted to thank you for your amazing ability to share your knowledge and experience so clearly. i recently did a full detail on my 2020 wrx (from decontamination with NV purify to car pro polish to NV ceramic coating). i would have heard about NV products or know how to properly apply them for best results, without your videos. ive used other ceramics before but NV is leagues above anything ive ever seen. keep up the fantastic content.
That’s really great to hear mate, I’m extremely happy that the videos have helped you out and that you’ve been able to have some great success on your own car, that’s what it’s all about! Really appreciate the kind and positive feedback, thank you!!
Hi Sandro, I’ve watched this repeatedly and every time I pick up something new. So much detail! I overlooked a few spots during the compound removal. I now have a few dried compound residue areas on the black Mercedes’ paint. What’s the best way to clean that up? Thank you so much and hope your doing well.
I’m glad that video has been helpful and I’m doing well mate! Sometimes the easiest way to remove old compound residue is to polish over the area again(you can even just put a little polish on a cloth and do it by hand) as the new compound will tend to break the old compound down and when the area is warm it’s much easier to clean up reside. If you can’t or don’t want to polish the area, a wax and grease remover like Prosol can also do the job sometimes and even a good APC - it just depends on how stubborn it is. If you have a steamer that can also work a treat!
Love all your video’s Sandro. Your video’s have given me the confidence to try a full paint correction on my Audi... I have been doing this weekend and I have purchased some ceramics to apply onto once I’m done. Without you’re videos though, I probably wouldn’t be giving it a go, but they are so informative! Where about’s did you move to if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in Geelong. Thanks again Sandro, keep the videos coming... we all love them!
That’s really fantastic to hear, and I’m so glad your giving it a go as I’m sure you’re going to smash it mate! We’ve actually moved the opposite way to where you are, up north towards the Macedon Ranges.
Thanks mate. Bare hand wax applications where something that became somewhat popular a few years back as almost a trend, but I honestly haven’t seen much of it of late. I certainly tried it years ago and I think if you still have a nice set of soft hands then knock yourself out! But if you’ve accumulated a few calluses like many of us do throughout the years I’d say stick to a foam applicator which will be safer on the paint. Waxes also do contain carrier solvents and although I don’t think the occasional hand wax is going to be an issue, having those solvents on your skin for up to an hour at a time may not be something you want to do regularly or constantly over the course of many years. As far as results go, I really wasn’t able to to see a benefit or difference personally, but I can’t say that I thoroughly tested this out with conclusive evidence.
Do you only apply the coating on the external face of the wheels ? What about the barrels, callipers etc, your level of detail is outstanding but I’ve never seen you take the wheels off a car.
There’s a number of videos where I’ve done wheels off coatings, I’ll give you a couple of links if you’re interested: th-cam.com/video/17oms9C6qpg/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/76faRQrnQ1Q/w-d-xo.html But it’s an expensive and time consuming process as the well wells and wheels all get fully decontaminated, corrected and coated if you want to do it right for the best out come. In the end it’s up to the client if they want to pay for that but I’ve done it many times, the videos are just a very small portion of the jobs I do.
Wonderful job, as always! Sandro, do you know of a U.S. version of the TakeNow flood light you use? I was only able to find it available in Australia. Any leads would be appreciated!
Question about ceramic coatings, is it true that most ceramic coatings harden into microfiber towels? So for the wipe off stage wouldn't the microfiber towel we use to level the coating off or buff off the excess coating harden up while we use the same towel for the rest of the car or would you go through many microfiber towels in this case? Thanks
I just coated the Mercedes with NV PRO, I found that it is tacky a little and in Canada it flashes right during application. You have no time to let it sit.
"Waiting for permission from our politicians to be able to work again and earn a living." This has become a sad truth for some, however reiterates the point of standing up for your rights...all of them...all the time.
Hey Sandro! Awesome videos, I have some questions I hope you can help me with: I have The Last Coat Sealant and I feel like I could be using much less of it when sealing cars if I were to apply the sealant like a ceramic coating, suede applicator cloth and foam block, instead of TLCs recommended application method, spray on microfiber towel and wipe it on and buff off with another towel, or even just spraying it directly onto the paint and spreading it with a towel and buffing it out with another. Am I able to apply the sealant like you apply ceramic coatings? Would it last just as long and perform just as great? Would you recommend using TLC as an interior protectant? I have a 2014 Monogram Scion tC with leather seats and I’d like to apply it on the plastics and leather, could I apply it on any interior surface other than any fabric or carpets? One last thing, I usually apply a conditioner to my leather after cleaning it, giving it that leather scent. If I am able to use the sealant on leather, should I even condition the seats? If I should, I am assuming I should condition first and then add the sealant coat, what do you think? Thanks in advance for any input, hope to hear from you!
Most spray and wipe sealants tend to instantly flash on the paint, so using a ceramic coating application which takes about 30-45secs to apply may result in streaks. The other thing is that true ceramic coatings are thicker and more concentrated making them more successful for that application process. I think it’s possible for manufacturers to makes spray and wipe sealants for that coating application process but it will require an adjustment on their part to change the consistency and flash times of those products. But I guess it also comes down to whether or not customers want a more involved and time consuming process compared to a quicker spray and wipe application. In saying all of that I do think that if you perhaps tweak and play around a bit with technique you could make it work with a coating style application - you’d just have to test it out! I’ve actually tried using some spray sealants like Reload and Meguiar’s Synthetic Spray wax on interior trims and they work. However, they don’t seem to do very much in the way of saturation or seem to last very long on interior trims vs paint. I don’t think there’s any harm in trying TLCoat but I would agree that you’re better off using it after your leather or trim conditioner/dressing, and it’s again just something you can personally assess and see how it performs and compares.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing woaw, thanks for the in depth answer, I knew you’d help me out, that’s why I try to detail like you. Ok, I’ll give it a try in applying it like a ceramic coat, probably work in a much smaller area to work faster, and hopefully it uses less, because like I said, I feel like I’m wasting a lot, in the end the towel I use to apply it gets very damp. Now to find some good empty spray bottles since only about half of the ones I picked up at Walmart still “work”
Unbelievable outcome, Sandro!!! For some sort of reference, what would the commercial cost for this sort of application as shown in all three videos?? Ballparks would be adequate and appreciated. Thanks.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing For an owner of such a calibre of vehicle, that would be a very reasonable, and economical treatment to be done especially for the long run! Thanks for your response, sir, and as always, enjoying your videos, editing, insights, and super calm and placating voice...!! Cheers Sandro!
question on the wheels you used an applicator pad to put a ceramic coating on it after you used the applicator pad did you threw it away ? than the ceramic coating on the body and you buff it off with a microfiber towel did you throw away the towel? or use it for something else if i can will donate i have to save money first and it take time
Hi Sandra! Love your Chanel. Quick question I used nv glass coating as per your instructions video. Works and looks perfect only problem is when it rains I get some pretty bad wiper chatter. Do you have any suggestions to minimise this?
Thanks mate, some glass is definitely more prone to chatter than others, but sometimes treating the wiper blade rubber a couple of times more with Nova Glass can help reduce it. Nv Boost or Glass Lite can also help give the glass a little more reduced friction which can additionally help.
Great end to a fantastic series, the merc looks amazing . Just curious with the ipa wipe and ceramic coating wipe off was that a breeze microfibres or a 4 seasons? I am amazed people still ask you how long until they wipe a coating off ? ( ask a submarine captain how deep can his submarine really go ? ) thanks again for a awesome step by step tutorial 👍
I hate having to use the car after polish , just want to stand and admire all day but think neighbours would think I'm lost in the head lol, as for wheels they make or break a car (in looks )
Great video as always and more so amazing work. You always make me want to do better. When you are ready the USA is ready to let you work. :) How do we get our hands on that Nova Pro?
Yes!! Texas or Florida sounds very tempting, except … I had a stop over in Texas many years ago and the humidity almost ended me, lol! I believe in the states you can contact Nick at parkscarcare.net/ if you’re interested in getting on the Nova Pro certification program.
Hey Sandro, do you know of any products or process that can fill or hide very small stone chips in glass? Kind of like polishes for paint that contain fillers. Or is it a futile effort and just better off replacing the glass? P.s Bought you a few coffees, Cheers
Really appreciate the coffees and support mate thank you. There are actually glass stone chip repair kits available from auto stores - but I can’t guarantee what results you’ll see. Apart from that I don’t really know off a way to fill chip in glass using detailing products.
Well I’ll still start with a good decontamination but hopefully if it’s been well maintained the correction process should be quicker before applying the coating again.
Hi sandro, i have a question before you hand newly ceramic coated cars do you still put an another layer of coating booster/sacrificial layer of sealant/wax/any kind if yes, can i know which product? Thank you
I have but don’t tend to do that so much these days as sometimes certain coatings can under perform if they are not allowed to fully cure before any top coat is applied. I prefer to have the client apply it - depending on the circumstances - themselves after a minimum of two weeks, and it would usually be a top coat of the same brand of coating I’ve applied to the car.
It’s really based on having experience with that coating and how the performance of things like the level of the hydrophobic behaviour goes, how easy it cleans up and ultimately how well it holds up. So if it’s not performing as well as it should in those areas it could be - not always - partly due to the coating not cured enough before a top coat has been applied.

I don’t really have a dedicated video on coating work flow but I go through it in the last chapter/section of almost all my detailing vlogs trying to add different information each time
Outstanding work, absolute master at your trade. Love the channel, love the videos…. Keep them coming Sandro. 🙏🏼
Super Job
Another AMAZING job!!
Feel sorry for you guys, down un VIC with the lock downs. Glad I moved to Cairns, when I did. If I was down in Melbourne, Id deffinately get you to do a job on my merc.
Thank you for this series, and like always stuning results.
Fabulous work! 🤩
Thanks!!
Love your work!
I am putting NV Pro on my RAV4 that’s for sure.
As always - love your work Sandro!
Really appreciate that mate!
Sorry for watching it later. You have two dislikes already Sandro - hm, it seems guys from Mercedes dealer are watching the story as well))))))) Nice job Man, nice music, nice new video effects, nice music and nice quality - my wife and me - we have enjoyed! With regards to the work I have nothing to say - its professional. In my world "professional" is "professional", but not everybody who say he is professional is doing job good. But you that one, who do! Your comments, ideas, experience sharing - they are extremely needed, please don't stop to talk and share, I wrote you, you have saved me many times already from mistakes, despite I am a hobby guy and working with own cars only. I will not comment country situation to avoid system issues, but we all who can think and want to think know this is a fake. Sandro, shake your hand and with best and kindest regards from Sweden, cheers.
Thank you as always mate - both you and your wife! I really appreciated your on going support of this channel and let’s hope this madness subsides soon!!!
WOW !!! .....Looks great, but the upkeep on black paint is to much. Hence the white car I have in the garage. Really good series here and I learned lots. Greetings from Canada
Still my favorite TH-cam channel, bar-none. Cheers from Texas.
PS- Would you be willing to do a ‘throwback’ video using FK1000P?
Really appreciate you saying that mate, and I’m definitely open to using FK1000P, I use to use it a lot in my mobile days but I’ll have to see how to fit it into a video!
Great work
r,🔥🔥🔥
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing thank so much for taking your valuable time to respond. Happy Holidays.
EPIC!! 💎
God bless you men♥️❤️♥️
Thank you!!!
Great job when you was doing the windscreen and was squeaking I though was a dog out side I had to pause it lol 😆
Lol, thanks mate!!
I just finished one exactly like this one but silver.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing that’s awesome mate! It’s so nice over that way... enjoy the scenery!
Hey Sandro. Your work continues to inspire, my friend.
I'd love to know your opinion on those who are applying wax's with their bare hands?
Loving the videos on your channel. when you do ceramic coatings, do you throw away the microfiber towels you've used for levelling down?
Thanks, and I usually keep them as disposables for cleaning around the shop but don’t use them on cars
Do you only apply the coating on the external face of the wheels ? What about the barrels, callipers etc, your level of detail is outstanding but I’ve never seen you take the wheels off a car.
There’s a number of videos where I’ve done wheels off coatings, I’ll give you a couple of links if you’re interested:
th-cam.com/video/17oms9C6qpg/w-d-xo.html
th-cam.com/video/76faRQrnQ1Q/w-d-xo.html
But it’s an expensive and time consuming process as the well wells and wheels all get fully decontaminated, corrected and coated if you want to do it right for the best out come.
Thank you, but unfortunately I’ve not personally come across a similar light… yet!
Thanks
Yes they harden but also stop performing well - I didn’t specifically cover that in this video but I’ll use on average 6 cloths to coat a car
Great job man! Appreciate the video's!
Thank you!!
I just coated the Mercedes with NV PRO, I found that it is tacky a little and in Canada it flashes right during application. You have no time to let it sit.

Hi. Great Video. Can you please share link for purchasing the blue cloth used to wipe panel 👍

Hey Sandro! Awesome videos, I have some questions I hope you can help me with:
I have The Last Coat Sealant and I feel like I could be using much less of it when sealing cars if I were to apply the sealant like a ceramic coating, suede applicator cloth and foam block, instead of TLCs recommended application method, spray on microfiber towel and wipe it on and buff off with another towel, or even just spraying it directly onto the paint and spreading it with a towel and buffing it out with another.
Thanks.
Thanks and I guess around the $2k ball park roughly
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing For an owner of such a calibre of vehicle, that would be a very reasonable, and economical treatment to be done especially for the long run! Thanks for your response, sir, and as always, enjoying your videos, editing, insights, and super calm and placating voice...!! Cheers Sandro!
Ive been watching all your videos till now and it seems like the video quality got better!! Are you using a gopro or phone?
Thanks and I use a GoPro, DJI and Canon DSLR
after this great video go for a walk
question on the wheels you used an applicator pad to put a ceramic coating on it after you used the applicator pad did you threw it away ?
than the ceramic coating on the body and you buff it off with a microfiber towel did you throw away the towel? or use it for something else
if i can will donate i have to save money first and it take time
Yes I discard them after use
magnificent SIR
Great job!! Awesome result. Love it. did you use a bodycam like gopro?
Thanks and yes both a GoPro and DJI
Love your videos, can you do a detail on a 4x4.
It’s on my list next time the opportunity arises!
Thank you mate and I think those where the newer AquaTouch Buddy cloths during the IPA wipe and the Blizzard cloths for the coating.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yes thought that yellow one may of been a aqua touch , thanks again Sandro
I hate having to use the car after polish , just want to stand and admire all day but think neighbours would think I'm lost in the head lol, as for wheels they make or break a car (in looks )
Hey Sandro have you gotten your hands on glassparencys graphene coating? I’ve been hearing that it looks promising
No I haven’t as yet!
Great video as always and more so amazing work. You always make me want to do better. When you are ready the USA is ready to let you work. :)
How do we get our hands on that Nova Pro?
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I knew it was a long shot. Thanks for the reply mate.
This is a very great video! I have one question. Is it possible to apply coating to the glass in the roof?
Thanks and yes, I showed that in the video and I’ve done it dozens and dozens of times with great success 😀
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks a lot!!!!
After the 3 years do you do a polish and put it back or you do it all again from the beginning
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing how do i know if the ceramic coat under performs if i use sacrificial coats. Thank you im fan of your artworks
👍
Has anyone called you the Mr. Miyagi of detailing yet?
I think that could be the first time lol
I washed my car in preparation for this video, it's only right
Lol
Did you take time to enjoy your coffee?
Absolutely and thank you!!!
