Excellent straight forward video! Ford wanted to charge me $400 to replace the power window assembly, the part cost less then $90. With the help of your video I was able to change it out in less than an hour. Will be looking to purchase auto parts from your site in the future.

2002 ford f-250 super duty. My drivers window does not go all the way up to the closed position . It start clicking when it reaches the top.
Installed new motor as per your video, and although no tape will hold the window up for long in 113 heat in Las Vegas, I was able to get the motor installed. Motor works fine, and window goes up fine, but shutters when it starts to come down. the shutter stops as the window comes down. Any ideas?

You might be able to if there's enough room in the door to take it out.
You may want to test the the power going to and from the switch with a test light. You could also test the power to the window motor when the switch is pressed to see if the motor has power to it. Hope this helps you out.
outstanding video! Was so easy even a caveman could do it :)
Only problem was now the switch works backwards... up is down and down is up. How did I mess that up?! How do I fix that?
I just literally went for it today . My clips were a bear . It wouldn't pull straight up n out . I got it though. Thank you. This did help
In the 99 you can just take the motor off without removing everything its a three minute job

Mine came with Both the driver and passenger door set. Works fine everything bolted up great on driver side but now up is down and down is up. Is it possible that I put the passenger side on by mistake? It seemed to bolt in great I didn’t think it was the wrong side

I used the same process on my 2002 ford taurus, and it worked. The only problem is that it still won't roll up, like the old motor. All the other doors work fine, so it couldn't be a fuse. Is it the switch that rolls the window up and down? I know how to replace it, I just need to know if the switch is the problem.
replaced the window motor, completed the assembly per your video, but the window gets stuck (binding-glass leaning forward) 1/2 way up.. is there a way to adjust the window or is the regulator or track the problem?
There might be some type of adjustment inside the door that you can make. You may also want to double check everything to see if the regulator is connected the right way.

nice video....it helped very much ...one suggestion you dont have to take spring off ...you can put whole assembly into a vice grip and take three motor screws out replace motor and then re-install.

I have a 2005 F1 50. I purchased the motor and after looking at your video noticed mine does not have that small gear with the teeth on it. Will I have to take it off of the old motor and place in on the new one. I figured I should check first before I get started on something that I won't be able to finish. Thanks

I removed the motor when the window was 3/4 down that means the position on the gears is different how so I marked the gears and installed the motor in the same position how important is that?
So the everything worked when I installed it but the spring fell out when the window was in the up position.
Is the passenger side and drivers side the same motor?

You may want to remove the door panel and inspect the window regulator to see if the cable has broke.
can the window motor be removed without removing the regulator assembly on a 2001 ford f250
+enrique martinez Thank you for watching. You will need to separate the regulator from the vehicle in order to remove the motor as most vehicles have them riveted in from the factory. It is possible to perform however without completely removing in some cases though. 1aauto.com

Do you need to grease the regulator while it is out of the door.
+Cfass1 You should not have to, but it all depends on the condition. If there is some resistance in the mechanism then you can put a little grease on it. Just keep in mind that grease will collect dirt and debris, so you do not want to use too much! 1aauto.com
