Could you please let me know what tools I will need to do this? I am trying to replace the sunshade installed in the door panel but need to remove the door panel to do so.
I have one that just had the panel break. It looks like the panel can be repaired/rebuilt if it is popped out by just replacing a few brackets holding the panel in palace. Is that right? Dealership wants $850 for the repair.
Hi, yeah dealership would not repair any part of the panel thats broken, because the parts catalouge does not specify separate parts; its only one assembly. If the car is more than 15yrs old and if you wish to do a quick fix to it and the technician determines it is possible to repair then yeah. But in conclusion, tech get paid flat rate so therefore they dont want to spend time repairing a panel versus just slapping a new panel in. Thats what i think.
@@Cargorage the car is a 2018. I’m not even seeing what I think are clips on rock auto. I don’t want to pull the panel off without a plan. I might pull it off to see how it is assembled
I broke a clip (the little round green/yellow things) too - you can buy more at the dealer - they are cheap. I had plenty of spare from previous upgrades. Easy repair.
Hey Boss, I got a 2019 Odyssey Touring, and my right side door never wants to close during the winter or colder days. It would sometimes not even open aswell! It tends on either open or close always half way - never a complete open door or closed one. What would be the issue here? I was researching and found that it could be the motor actuator not getting its full range of motion or motor is broken? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Have you had any cars like this with the issue?
Shitty design and broken clips causing the panel to collide with the door frame. We had ours in for warranty work and the dealer busted like half a dozen clips
@@Cargorage You know what’s funny. I live in Toronto and lately it’s been 30+ degrees and i use that door everyday no problem! But when it’s cold or in the winter, the problem reappears…
Thanks, I never want to work on one of these but I finally got one after 7 years lol
Much easier than expected! Thanks bro!

My sliding door is not slidable manually nor automátically its like the door lock is stuck in place. How can i fix?
Thats a complex problem sir. You oughtta take it to a mechanic. Sorry i can't help
Thanks @@Cargoragehave a good nite
Thanks!
Is this what you need to do to replace a broken sunshade? Dealership wants $360 to replace the shade
Yes, that panel comes off then the sunshade.
So how do you put the panel back on?
It would be the reverse procedure 🙃
how do you put the handle back on with that clip? Put the clip on first then pound on the handle? or put the handle on and somehow push up that clip?
Install the c-clip back on the handle first then just put it in place and slap it on.
@@Cargorage Thanks so much - I found another video showing to do that. I appreciate your video - worked out perfectly for me.
Your welcome, glad it helps.

Hello. You'll need plastic door trim tools, window handle removal tool instead of the pick i was using there.

Sorry no, never came across it, possible its the motor, the door sensor etc.
