WOW THIS WAS PAINFUL. Also guys, I noticed after the first DeS episode that my controller was broken, so there was all kind of weird stuff happening in the previous episode. :D My bad! Hope you enjoy this mess. :')
Don't worry about giving Stockpile Thomas your stones. When you upgrade equipment at the blacksmith, he can access all the upgrade stones stored with Stockpile Thomas so you don't have to have them in your inventory to upgrade.
I'd say after defeating the Tower Knight, the first area of the Burrow King, Stonefang Tunnel which is the world adjacent to Boletaria from the Nexus would be an appropriate destination.
The pain is too real!! I died to Tower Knight once or twice, but to the runback like 10 times. SO BRUTAL 😭
I also fell down the hole thinking it might be a secret hahaha! Like you said, you gotta try! Umbasa!

I adore the sound design of the remake, Tower Knight sounds so metallic and scrapy like how you would expect for a giant suit of hulking armor

don't worry about tendencies for now, know that there are two in total, the white tendency and the black tendency, I only learned about tendencies in NG+ the first time.
Aren’t there 5? It’s true white and black, partial white and partial black, and neutral. It would be good to know in first game too as you have an idea how hard enemies will hit you vs you hitting them. Especially weapon effectiveness against bosses. And what causes changes between them.

But in a blind run the tendency is not relevant.

Remember to pick up your souls when you die. There are two trophies for the Tower Knight. You have to kill him without killing any of the archers which is quite difficult. You can lure him up the small square but it's hard to move around him. But anyhow it's to late for this playthrough 😂
Enjoying this journey Meiru! Tower Knight is such an iconic part of Demon Souls, but it does for some reason remind me of the One Reborn from Bloodborne.
Yea it really reminds of the One Reborn! And that's the reason you immediately wanna go get rid of the archers haha
From Software are constantly reusing ideas from previous games, and many of them started here (if not even in the King's Field series), so if you've played Dark Souls, Bloodborne or even Elden Ring and then play Demon's Souls, you'll recognize a lot.
The archers on the ramparts were such a pain for me. Congrats and enjoy the journey! 😊❣️✨

The vendor you found in Lord's Path should be selling the claymore. It's kind of expensive at this point, but if you're not happy with the bastard sword, that's the way to go.

The weight and storage system in this game is EXTREMELY janky. As you progress and collect items you will see how bad it gets. You can - and should - always put everything youre not using into storage, which you can do in game without going back to old mate (thomas? the storage guy) by clicking on the item and pulling up the drop down menu. Dont keep anything in your inventory that youre not going to use in the level youre in, especially items. Items have a separate type of weight counter and 10 of the various lotuses can really stack up on your item and weight load. It doesnt help that you cant sell anything, so youre stuck with a LOT of junk unless you dump it in storage (or just dump it).
That also makes it damn near impossible to use heavy weapons and heavy armour in the first run through. Weight is a huge factor - affected by the janky inventory system - and they never fixed it. People serious about this game do literally hundreds of Ng+. If you dont believe me, climb to the very top of the nexus, way higher than the monumental is. There you will find all the "champions" of the game on pedestals, along with their stats and achievements. The pathway to the very top is a bit hidden.
You cant - and shouldnt - do the game in linear progression (ie go from left to right on the archstones). Many people make that mistake. But this is not a linear game. Online there is a "best" progression route that players have pretty much agreed. I like to vary my version of that a bit. Look that up if you like. Up to you.
White and Black tendencies dont make much difference to the game, except white unlocks some hidden areas and gives you access to a few easter eggs and not so great goodies, while black makes the game a bit harder. But what is true is that if you go black tendency first its almost impossible to get your tendency back to white. And from memory that lingers across NG+s (which is why players repeat the game so much - you have to really work at getting white tendencies).
Armoured opponents are vulnerable to sword thrusts.
I hate meleeing the tower knight because of the janky camera angles so I always cheese him with a bow, which is very easy if you have enough arrows. A good bow is very useful in this game.
Also, just so you know, some armour sets are for male characters and some for female. But the ones generally agreed to be the "best" are for male characters - oops!

It doesn't really matter which area you choose now, although most would probably say Stonefang tunnel.
Tendencies are rather complicated but they enrich the game by allowing special encounters. You would need to reach pure white or black for it to happen.
When you defeat a boss in a world, it’ll shift the tendency towards white. If you die while awakened (state of full health like when you defeat a boss) in a region it’ll shift tendency towards black. IMO it is best to first take a world to pure white. To ensure that it is best to die in Nexus every time you are in an awakened state and only play areas while in soul form. That way once you defeat the final boss of an area, you can backtrack to find something new. Then you may die repeatedly in that area, while in the awakened state, to push it to pure black.
Quite a hassle, so it is your choice. ☺
Claymore was my weapon for this game, just loved it!

You CAN block with your sword my dear (if I'm not mistaken) , since your not using your shield. Still take damage but less than a xbow bolt to the face. 😂

Great run. I think you did incredible in that under bridge passageway, those fricking dogs are ridiculous and probably the hardest part in this area.
And taking out the boss in so few attempts…dang! I swear I spent hours upon hours trying to get the timing right. Sweet victory.
Unpopular opinion here, based on others comments, World Tendency is important in a first play through. Black WT makes the game much harder yet better rewards, White WT makes the game “easier” with less rewards, and the partial White and Black are leaned from neutral, yet not Pure WT level. I’d say the big takeaway is to find out what could cause the shifting, so you don’t make a hard game even harder.
Shared frustrations though…the grind to slay that dragon is REAL and getting to where you need is tough. But a beautiful game and you slaying through it

I'd go for either 2-1 or 3-1 arch stone next. Also, remember the chains you cut where the bodies fell down? I dont believe you collected those items.. they may be of interest to someone in the nexus 😉✌️
