As usual 4xe fans are way ahead of the dealers! Be patient with dealerships, I bet lots of them don’t know yet…we will probably see the remedy procedure in more detail posted in the forum hopefully by the end of today.
My 21 wrangler 4xe clears by e-save charge with the heat off. I run it down the highway for 20 miles and that usually clears it. However my 24 GC 4xe has gone into FORM 3-4 times this year already(wrangler none this year yet but only running hybrid due to the recall and less chances for it to try and run on electric only) but I think the programming is different because the engine idle goes up and usually clears in 5 mile commute.
I'm in Toronto - I've only had FORM due to stale fuel, I just burn the gas out, rather than adding, once I'm down to fumes, I'll add about 4 gallons, if it's winter I'll fill up completely, when the temp goes down to below freezing, and wet and damp, I'll just run the gas engine because I need the heater blasting. I also always use Electric mode, if I'm out of battery range that is usually the only time I'm in Hybrid mode
In the winter in Canada, it takes way too long to get the temperature up and it seems to be in FORM all the time. Also the oil life message goes to 0%.
Hi 4xe community. Has anybody had problems trying to find cargo covers? every cargo cover I find it says not compatible with for 4xe. I’m trying to buy one for my wife before Christmas. Thanks 🙏
I purchased my 4xe a week before the latest recall 95B so I stopped charging the battery. About a week later, I was in FORM and never got out of it. While I was in FORM, the battery was recharging because I couldn't use it properly. It stayed charged above 25%, despite the recall advising against charging it.. Haha... Strange. During this week (still in FORM), I noticed my oil level was at 0. I took my vehicle to the dealer, and they performed an oil change. They informed me that this issue was caused by not using gasoline...? I haven't used the battery in over a month; how can I need an oil change in two months? All these issues should be explained to the customer before purchasing. I regret getting this vehicle, and I'm trying to work with my dealer to return it for a non-hybrid. After the oil change, I can confirm that the vehicle is running normally.
This is reason why im trading mine next week. Own the 4xe for 4 years. Always in form in permanence basicly from nov to april. My oil been droping multiple time to 0 % last 3 winter out of 4 of ownership. When in form, my oil can drop from 99% to 0 in 3-5 days. This is a software bugs when in form.
Does anyone else have the problem that while in FORM, the oil life message goes from 70 % right to 0% and telling you to get an oil change after only several weeks after an oil change? So annoying.
@@tml184 Yes. That’s a software issue that was supposed to be resolved a while back but it doesn’t seem like it was. Take it in for service and ask them to escalate the issue to engineering.

It's better to drive it in HYBrid all the time especially in the winter.
Thanks for the super helpful video!

Man I’m looking at anew 4xe and I gotta admit this FORM stuff really puts me off.

What's wrong with using the manual position For shifting through all your gears the motor stays on all the time when you use a manual position.
@@michaelelliott9903 Nothing. In fact, I used it one of the two times mine went in to FORM to keep the RPMs higher.
Park it in your driveway turn off the heater and just let it run. Normally FORM Clears in 20-30 minutes.
I usually just do a highway trip using e-save or Hybrid mode, so I have not been in Form..
What if i have nowhere to go. I should just take it on the highway for an hour for nothing??? Ridiculous and waste of money.
Is Jeep aware that the oil life message goes to 0% during FORM at some point??? It's happened to me many times in 2 years.
I just go for a long ride and it clears, it will last a few days .

C'mon. What if i only need to drive it for short trips? n Am I supposed to just drive it for an hour and go nowhere? Ridiculous.
@@tml184 No, just put it in electric mode.
