Double Wow! Never seen this action on any of the televised saltwater shows in the glades. They always bill it as a nursery for snook, redfish, etc. That snook you caught on your last post was a tank anywhere. Elias for saltwater angler of the year!!!
Good to see there are still some gags and reds on those spots. Used to do fairly well on them in the passes but goliaths have definitely kept a lot of them further off in the past 15 years.
No it was a Southern Flounder there isn't any Summer flounder in the gulf only Gulf and Southern there is Summer flounder found in Florida but only on the east coast.
Are Goliaths making a comeback? You seem to be getting on them pretty consistently, E. Another great trip. Great trout bite too. You do a good job of releasing specks, E, but if you can, you should release big (20”+) trout without bringing them aboard. Bringing them into the boat, handling them or letting them hit the deck significantly increases released large speckled trout mortality, according to studies in Florida and Texas. Anyway, this was one of your best trips. I really enjoyed it.
I believe that’s a southern flounder. I didn’t realize they were so far south... anyways, nice session! I love how you read that finder and catch fish everywhere you go. Nice work. I’ve been watching for years and look forward to many more!
I've had some of the craziest luck just dragging a Vudu shrimp along the bottom as In drifted. Especially with a little Pro-Cure on it. Kind of wild fishing in places like Florida where you can target certain species, certain areas, or whatever floats your boat. From bonefish to tarpon to snapper and anything in between and that's just inshore and near shore. Great content as always.
Nice video. I wish I would have seen those grouper videos before my Florida trip. Fished the eveglades 1 day and of course my fish finder wasn't working but I did get a couple snook and a red. Next year I'm going to hit those grouper and also try to get a tarpon
Good stuff. I appreciate that you keep changing things, going from the Savage shrimp to the hair jig to the different gulp patterns....really interesting!
It was a Southern Flounder there isn't any Summer Flounder in the Gulf of Mexico or the Everglades we do have them on the east coast though.Awesome job though I learned some stuff watching you out there tight lines man.
Amazing...you're a lucky sob and during pandemic time. My oh my. Say what's that lure juice you're rubbing on the lures??? Is that your ace in the hole? Have you done a science test with and without that lure juice??? Love to see the results. Thanks for the joy ride.
Nice fish! The strippers are spawning on Lake Lanier in GA. They go up into the creeks to spawn and it makes for good spring trolling. Hopefully, I'll get out on the lake soon! Great vid, loved it!
Red Drum left after the last grass die off due to over salinated water from restricted natural runoff into the bay...that's what my guide says...used to sight cast for them all the time.
This episode could be subtitled: "Thousand Island Smorgasbord" ... . Is there GPS onboard, or a chart loaded in the finder? Those islands all look the same.
Great video... me and my wife are going to everglades at the end of march for the first time. would love to put her on some of these grouper. Whats the water depth? And how do you target them in that much area. Ima be so clueless. Haha
This looks like it was a blast. I still want to see you catch Goliaths with BlacktipH.

Hola amigo saludos nuevo aqui apoyando tu canal de pesca tambien me gusta mucho la pesca vivo en Florida aqui se pone bueno tambien saludos y bendiciones 🤝🤝🙏🙏👍👍🎣🎣
The biggest trout I've ever got was on key Biscayne behind Mercy Hospital .free lining live shrimp.she was 28inches long...Delicious!!! With a cold corona
Elias, my hero 2 is still going strong after 9 yrs, my hero 7 black is a year old and has been a pain in my butt...keeps locking up, wont upload current updates etc..
Large ones shouldn’t be taken out of the water you’ll do damage to their internal organs lifting them. Everyone I’ve seen fishing the Everglades usually takes the smaller ones out to remove the hook. They are pretty much everywhere that I’ve seen.
For every good set of regulations fisheries management develops, they create another set of conservation issues. Between the sharks and goliaths in parts of Florida, (left unchecked) a lot of species are in trouble.
The problem is us...For all Goliaths' size, etc., they're easy pickings if you know where to go...question is can we be trusted to take just a few??!! Look back to the 1970s and see what everyone did to Goliaths'. Then say it'll be ok.
@@vicbanks9079 That inherently is the issue with everything humans (human race as a whole) touch regarding harvesting. However, the same "best science," that fisheries management uses, is flawed, at best... keeping a healthy balance with so many variables, many of which are impossible to gauge, is virtually impossible if overcomplicated. Some things are just common sense, but left to a government agency, you can rest assure that common sense has gone out the window. Rant over. Haha.
I wonder if spotted trout are related to freshwater Rainbow Trout in any way. If so then keeping their gills out of the water for any more than 15 seconds causes irreparable harm to the gills and can result in their deaths. I hope it's a Char instead as the safe time out of the water would be a tiny (barely anything, but is so) bit longer. Maybe they're Char? Because Brown "Trout" and Brook "Trout" for freshwater are actually Char, not Trout.

Nursery for small snook lol Not here in Choko You must be thinking about Flamingo
I heard you fished with Skinner. Looking forward to the video!
Can’t wait to read the cringey comments on that vid...
Probably not going to see a video. Skinner said they got skunked.
@@deadfishporter Is that possible? ;)
The fish whisperer pulling keeper sheepers and flounder. Thanks for the fun video. Keep learning and be safe.
looking forward to Part 10: Elias moves to the Everglades
Haha! Place is like none other I’ve been to!
Good to see there are still some gags and reds on those spots. Used to do fairly well on them in the passes but goliaths have definitely kept a lot of them further off in the past 15 years.
Other anglers have told me keeper reds and gags were common before the goliaths took over
Summer Flounder for sure! Fluke follow you everywhere
No it was a Southern Flounder there isn't any Summer flounder in the gulf only Gulf and Southern there is Summer flounder found in Florida but only on the east coast.

That's was an epic day for trout man, they were all bangers!

Those grouper look like cool fish, with nice colors. Nice video.
Yes summer flounder, depending on the left month
What a great day. Awesome fishery. Waiting for the Chesapeake to reach 55 degrees so we can start fishing!
That was a heck of a day
Those Florida trouts are excellent eating fish.
Dot they have similar meat to Rainbow or Brown Trout?
Looks like a lot of fun down there. Some day.
Just watching all that trout getting caught is getting me all pumped up
I watch a chit ton of fishermen on TH-cam. You are by far my favorite to watch. Good job sir!
unbelievable stuff
Looks like an epic day
I lived in the US for about 7 years
I really miss those days when I used to go fishing.
Great video

Tha strippers dont.spawn in creeks. They spawn in strip clubs.
Awesome trip Elias!!
What an epic day!!!
Congrats on the 100K subs milestone!
Your on 🔥 bro. Knocking the species off 1 by 1.
Another awesome video! They keep getting better and better!
Not keeping any of those big trout or the sheephead?
Yo I've been enjoying your channel. You're catching some nice ones!
The reason why i want a kayak!
Would be interesting to demonstrate scent vs no-scent catch rate.
Congrats on the 100k subs!
Hey Eli. My GoPro drices me nuts. Mine only works if I'm on my couch not doing anything.. I call it my NoGo. Thanks for the vids.
Made in chyna?
Come back to the Finger Lakes!
Wish I had places like that to fish!
That fish at 3:00 is just gorgeous
Just think how well you'd do if you knew the place better.
Great to watch!
Congratulations 🍾 Elias .. Been following you for a while..,Your with Fisha Holic now
Looks like your having a Blast !!. Which Lowrance setup are you running? My Hook2 5x w/splitshot transducer just ain't cutting it anymore.
Wonder why they don't open the season on those Goliaths. Seems like there's a lot of them around
Red Drum left after the last grass die off due to over salinated water from restricted natural runoff into the bay...that's what my guide says...used to sight cast for them all the time.
I’ve been having trouble fishing 10k lately, any tips???
What is that scent he is rubbing on the plastics?
Procure
This episode could be subtitled: "Thousand Island Smorgasbord" ... . Is there GPS onboard, or a chart loaded in the finder? Those islands all look the same.
My chart doesn’t have the islands really. Just made a few routes for myself for next year
That was a southern flounder n FL don't have fluke....
Love the videos Elias! How do you like the HMG Inshore?
Good
Watch from the caribbean 👍 👌✊✌👊
What kayak are you using now?
It’s the dreaded white spotted flounder, extremely rare.
Great video... me and my wife are going to everglades at the end of march for the first time. would love to put her on some of these grouper. Whats the water depth? And how do you target them in that much area. Ima be so clueless. Haha

Can you keep goliaths?
The biggest trout I've ever got was on key Biscayne behind Mercy Hospital .free lining live shrimp.she was 28inches long...Delicious!!! With a cold corona
The trout in minute 4.20 was it a legal size?
Ive always wondered do you still fish for fun like without the camera just for the classic fun of fishing or is there a point it becomes work?
What town were you in ld love to go down and fish there
Elias, my hero 2 is still going strong after 9 yrs, my hero 7 black is a year old and has been a pain in my butt...keeps locking up, wont upload current updates etc..
Are the Goliaths fragile? Just curious why you can't take them out of the water?
They are a protected species. (thumbs up)
Large ones shouldn’t be taken out of the water you’ll do damage to their internal organs lifting them. Everyone I’ve seen fishing the Everglades usually takes the smaller ones out to remove the hook. They are pretty much everywhere that I’ve seen.
How far are you from a ramp?
What kind of reel are you using?
Super tall and girthy for a 21" trout!!
Can someone explain how legally cook fish off the beach in the everglades ,port of the island area ,thanks
Dang I thought the only things in the Everglades were alligators, pythons, and dead bodies! I need to fish the Everglades!
You should hook up with John Skinner he is in Florida and he uploaded a tarpon two days ago it was about 42 to 50 inches.
He did, but no luck according to Johns latest video
@@wishinone there was two videos that John Skinner put and it shows him landing it
@@mypassion830 John said when he and Elias went they caught nothing, John actually caught three that day both videos were of the same trip.
Crazy how Goliath’s are “critically endangered”
If left unchecked they will decimate reefs and local fisheries. There should a slot limit and season on Goliaths. They are definitely not endangered.
For every good set of regulations fisheries management develops, they create another set of conservation issues. Between the sharks and goliaths in parts of Florida, (left unchecked) a lot of species are in trouble.
Not in japan they eat anything

There are too many species of flounder! I’d be busted the 1st day.
👍👍👍👍
I thought fluke had teeth and flounder didn't ?
Don't really know
There’s dozens of species of flounder, and fluke are flounder
Is it illegal to take goliaths out of the water?
I wish my worst day of fishing was your yeah it was okay.....
EV stabs everything that's swimming in the river of grass.
Promise kept.
