Sonic 2 : Rescue Tails OST - Underground Zone

Underground zone is an interesting level when looking at Sonic games as a whole. For one, there aren't that many cave mountain levels in Sonic games, but further more it breaks the very much established pattern of Sonic games starting with a green (often checkerboarded) nature level. As a lot of you may know, this wasn't always the case. In earlier prototypes of 8-bit Sonic 2 Underground zone was the fourth level and Green Hills zone was the starting level. As far as I know the reason for the change isn't known, but it has lead to UGZ being a rather memorable first level. But of course, you're here for the song.

@@Givemewhatyoureworth The previous version of the game used remixes from RemixesSG made for a completely different Sonic 2 remake (this one: sonic-sms-remake.blogspot.com/p/two.html). It had an option to choose between the original 8-bit music or the 16-bit remixes. Anyway, I decided to make our own remixes for the project. There are still a few left from RemixesSG because I didn't have time to remake them, like the level clear jingle, the invincibility theme and such, but the levels, title screen and extra life tracks are remixed by me. Hope that answers your question.
