Great video guys 👌 love hearing the repartee between you and bouncing ideas back and forward 👍 look forward to seeing the ideas being brought to life 💪👍
that is how you learn what you got on the farm .you can learn so much in the winter to see how the critters us your property ,the deer will still use the area after the snow is gone year after year , great job guys on the tore of the farm. Also where the spring is below the flat DONT DIG TOO CLOSE TO WHERE IT COMES OUT OF THE GROUND .I DID THAT AN THE SPRING DISAPPEARED BECUASE I DISRUPTED THE AREA THAT IT WAS COME OUT .okay carry on
Saw a good article on food plots for deer that says to first determine how many deer are residing and using your property...then plant just enough acres of food plots to supplement that number of deer. I thought that's smart to plant enough to support the number but no need to overplant more acres than is needed. So as you are figuring out how the critters are using your new property...determine how many you have and then plan accordingly. Yes, it's possible to overplant, wasting lots of time and money.
Well I kind of get that but here are my 2 questions with that theory; First, as you plant good (new) food plots you continually pull in new deer from other home ranges, thereby adding to your deer population, potentially year round. 2nd is that in 'non bottom' soils, all of that extra biomass (if you have leftover food come late winter) with either help with weed control, if it is a green plot, or get broken down to help improve the soil as far as corn, beans, sorghum and the like. My 2 cents on it. You CAN have too much food, but if you DON'T have enough you may be disappointed.
Good Video, that cave entrance has to be near. Joe are there any caves on the adjoining properties? Phil nailed it on moving to a new location and exploring little business. Adopted mom found this pulled pork place and guy had taken an old gas station and smoked pork and beef, every day. Had a little park next to it to eat. And always found some good bargain’s at local pawn shops.
Love it when Phil is on! Need more Phil!
LOL Right on!! We do pretty good tag teaming!!
Sometimes you have to say, "Yea, he's right." That's a good friend right there.
