Honestly, this is my favorite between the intro and outro! And I remember seeing a comment on the intro that theorizes that Be a Flower is about Jinshi's feelings towards Maomao and how he wishes to truly see her happy and be with her, so I see The Spell as the opposite. Maomao's feelings towards Jinshi and her struggle to outright express her love.
Where Jinshi is cofident in his feelings towards her, Maomao has complex feelings around them in general. She can at least recognize that he loves Jinshi, but with growing up in the pleasure district and witnessing both the beauty and horror it brings, she anxious about how to express it. She's afraid of both outwardly showing her love to him, and missing her chance to express it, and living in the "what if".
But the best part, we know from Be a Flower (and honestly both the anianime and LN) that he truly does love her for her: at both her best self and when she's anxious and cold towards him.

Compared to everyone else, I think the OP is in Maomao’s perspective. Especially because of the flower references, not only in the lyrics but in the animation itself. And the ending is in Jinshi’s perspective, although it could be either or closer to the end.
I def feel that if you have read the novel, you get a better idea of which one is refencing who. Both of them have had rather odd if not bittersweet childhoods, but I think he’s had a harder time emotionally especially being a prince. He physically musn’t show emotions, while Maomao can’t in a more mental way I’d say? Regardless, thats just my opinion!!!
Id like to say more but Im running on steam here lol, if someone wants to hear more then id be happy to write more

Well, I doubt it, because the lyrics, in hana ni natte (op) used a lot of the word "Boku" that is a way to say "I" but in a masculine form, otherwise in this in any moment have been used the word Boku but Watashi yes, Watashi is female way to say I but it's a neutral way to say I, but generally songs tend to use Boku so much when it's the perspective of a masculine character, and Watashi so much when is female
