I’m going to attempt one myself, but I’m going to look at putting it in Epoxy Resin with the Towed Array Streamed lol won’t look anything like your thou 👍

Very nice, got two of those kits and one comes with a nice Wem PE set.
But you did a splendid job.

Great build, but a Merlin Helicopter ? She would us a Wildcat. As it is weathered, you could add more weathering to foredeck, as that takes the brunt

The T23's can embark either a Merlin or Wildcat helicopter. In fact the T23 frigate (ASW version) with a Mk2 ASW Merlin is one of the most potent submarine hunter combinations in the world. As Monmouth is one of the 5 oldest T23's, she was not fitted with Sonar 2087 and is therefore considered a General Purpose Frigate, rather than ASW, therefore she would be more likely to embark a Wildcat helicopter.

@@ponymoore6140 That's great....I agree more likely to be a Wildcat, but a Merlin is not completely out of place on her flightdeck.

I served on the hms norfolk type 23, we had a Merlin and it was never that weathered

IMPORTANT QUESTION: wouldn't it be easier to paint the individual bits before sticking them together? Like the gun barrel and the turret (and small bits and details like that)?? I'm doing lots of research because I want to build a detailed model properly and I still don't understand why everyone in the community glues everything together and THEN paints it all... Wouldn't it be more simple to paint the small details and THEN glue? BTW fantastic model and amazing job! (Thanks in advance to anyone who answers)

Hi! I highly recommend painting any different coloured parts separately, I only glued a lot together because it was mostly one colour. But yes, I recommend painting stuff separately

Thanks! Yeah, I'd love to have a bigger variation of music - but I have to brainstorm Ideas with the guy who makes them, and it takes time! :D
