I mostly agree... but that first part, despite the guitar taking a backseat, feels even more threatening to me. Like when Rotbart spots you? The impact of the first couple measures feels strengthened to me.
I like this one better in literally every way. It just sounds so much cleaner, crisper, and even more energized to me. But I still love the original too.
Right when this theme starts to play you know you're in for an intense and difficult fight against a very formidable foe or a group of Foes this is my first time for we playing the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition and I am absolutely loving this game this game is a very addicting can't wait to see what Journeys lie ahead for me thanks for uploading this theme
Fear not, for i am about to grant you the arcane knowledge of never having to not listen to this while fighting unique enemies: The music only changes when a vision bar shatters, so all you need to do is to make sure the vision bar never does so. But a vision bar only appears if the attack outlined in that vision bar would kill that partymember. So what do? There is a mechanic in the game regarding chain attacks. It prevents your group members from dying while a chain attack is active. Meaning if you were to start a chain attack in the middle of an attack animation, right when the vision bar expires, the vision bar does not shatter (as it is not there anymore) but your group member doesnt die, only drops to 1 HP. Meaning the soundtrack never changes. Similarly, Aethergems with the invincible (or whatever it is, i forgot the actual name of that perk) perk have a chance to save your group members lives if they were to die, dropping them instead to 1 HP, which is also shown in the vision bar. So if you equip everyone with such a gem (as you should anyway) you can get away some times with letting vision bars expire without consequences, once more saving the soundtrack from changing This only works with the original OST enabled (it actually doesnt depend on the kind of OST, i just like the original "You will know our names" better)
XD An ad just started playing while the video thumbnail was still there, and I was wondering why the heck "You Will Know Our Names" was suddenly "Clair de Lune" XD
I'm going to play this when fighting Luxaar. (Yes, I have Xenoblade Chronicles X, which I enjoy a lot... even if Tatsu is the worst character in the game.)
@@weirdo7319 no it doesn't it sounds so flat and boring compared to the original which pops and is unbelievably catchy, all the sounds just mesh together in the background in this version rather than popping out like they do in the original version, I always get gossebumps from the original but this version is incapable of giving me any
10 years later, this soundtrack still slaps
Damn right it does
This is never gonna get old
@@hazelv.a.7976 I think i prefer the original, this one lacks a bit of oomph
Yeah I hear it's still great but it lacks that oomph of the original it sounds more calmed while being uplifting or something like that
