Alex has his own problems like Owen does. In fact it’s too realistic because until awhile, Alex was running from his home then had to get in terms with his damaged mom. He loved Jo because they connected over them both being damaged. May be he is learning or going past his anger over his childhood, his damage and may be he passed that. This whole situation will show us if he will snap again to old habits (his old protection mechanism). On other hand, no matter how good or healed you might think you are like Jo, she is also damaged and the history of her family broke her. Jo and Alex might be good to be healing friends but are they good as a couple? They attract their equal but when either or both heal, are they fit together? That’s why it’s mostly not working when you attract someone in your down times.
I love that this show is now going more in depth in the everyday lives of the doctors now. In past seasons you’ve rarely seen the children and now their in the episodes more frequently and mentioned. ❤️
Zola is so smart and quick-witted!! And I'm not talking just about this episode. Every time she speaks you can see that she's a little genius, and also very mature. And Bailey and Ellis are just stinking cute.

Jo's bent on not just going numb and sinking down, but absolute self-destruction...specifically of a "side" of herself that isn't even a side of herself. There's nothing she can compartmentalize and say "That's him" and excise like a surgeon would a tumor. So, I guess she's burning up her whole life.

For me, Grey's anatomy ended at season 14. Jo and Alex got married. Arizona on her way to New York to be with Callie and Sofia. April getting married even if it was with Matthew. Jackson being happy for April and finally finding his faith and the peace of mind he was looking for. Maggie staying great as a surgeon and not committing any mistakes. Bailey still Chief and was amazing at it. Richard, healthy and happy with Catherine and not betrayed by her. And Meredith still being kissed by De Luca which signals a start of something good for her, not necessarily with De Luca, but just a start somewhere in terms of opening her heart again after Riggs. While I really love Amelia and Link together since they were the only good thing to come out of season 15 onwards, I would really prefer the show ended in season 14. Or even earlier. As I am an original fan of GA, I really felt like the writers and show runners didnt care at all for their fan base. Its like they want us to forget the last 14 seasons didnt happen. Ugh, its so frustrating. I cant really watch it any more. I am done. At least if they had ended in season 14, in this finale, every one was at peace. It could have ended on a high note. And every one could have lived happily ever after. The end.

I'm sorry your mum is struggling so much. Meridith is a surgeon on very good money with great childcare at the hospital and a support network of sisters etc living with her. So as people go, so she is very lucky as a character to have all that help with kids and wouldn't have many of the stresses. It's been several years since Derek died so she's past the hardships now

I get what it’s like to come from a bad person and fear that what made them bad could be some dormant (and fearfully authentic) part of you, just waiting for the right time to wake up. But even if her father’s blood runs through her veins, hurting people isn’t hereditary - it’s a choice. Her father chose to hurt her mother, her mother chose to lock the door on that pain, and Jo is choosing to absorb 3 people’s worth of trauma and allow it to implode her life. The dam can’t hold forever, and when it finally breaks, Alex will be there to help her pick up the pieces and rebuild - something she’s never had before.
I know what Jo learned was hard to handle but I’m getting sick of her attitude. And threatening to leave Alex... like come on grow up Jo he just freaking cares about you. Like ugh I can’t wait for this to get resolved. Also please more Mar with her kids I loved that scene!

@@merdzky098 He's currently filming in Atlanta now and it's a recurring role and based on Jake Borelli instagram they recently finished filming season 15. So he is filming the scene during the off season, plus he is not one of the main players on Grey's Anatomy at the moment so it easier for him to take roles

Jo is just awful. Alex should be the one to leave her. You can't postpone your job, lay around the house for weeks, ignore your husband, and then get mad when he's trying to understand what is wrong with you. You tell him what happened or seek mental help. Alex is doing absolutely everything right from a relationship perspective. Jo is just a terrible spouse.

I love how she grows up with Derek but I love Mer after he died because she is more mature after that point in her life as Arizona said once He was everything for her... she transformed her pain and lost in good things... For me, Grey's anatomy ended at season 14. Jo and Alex got married. Arizona on her way to New York to be with Callie and Sofia. April getting married even if it was with Matthew. Jackson being happy for April and finally finding his faith and the peace of mind he was looking for. Maggie staying great as a surgeon and not committing any mistakes. Bailey still Chief and was amazing at it. Richard, healthy and happy with Catherine and not betrayed by her. And Meredith still being kissed by De Luca which signals a start of something good for her, not necessarily with De Luca, but just a start somewhere in terms of opening her heart again after Riggs.
While I really love Amelia and Link together since they were the only good thing to come out of season 15 onwards, I would really prefer the show ended in season 14. Or even earlier. As I am an original fan of GA, I really felt like the writers and show runners didnt care at all for their fan base. Its like they want us to forget the last 14 seasons didnt happen. Ugh, its so frustrating. I cant really watch it any more. I am done. At least if they had ended in season 14, in this finale, every one was at peace. It could have ended on a high note. And every one could have lived happily ever after. The end.

I wish they showed what an actual widowed mom of three looks like, watching my mom struggle with finding a someone to watch us just so she can work to keep us feed & living in a house while she’s struggling with figuring out how to even live life without her best friend. I feel like they really skipped over important parts of loss & grieving.
I'm sorry your mum is struggling so much. Meridith is a surgeon on very good money with great childcare at the hospital and a support network of sisters etc living with her. So as people go, so she is very lucky as a character to have all that help with kids and wouldn't have many of the stresses. It's been several years since Derek died so she's past the hardships now

You say that she's a bad spouse or something but she's broken, all of her life she dreamt of her family, and her father especially, she said it in season 11 , imagine after that knowing that the man you idolized is a rapist, and that you were born from all that pain and not from love at all. I get what it’s like to come from a bad person and fear that what made them bad could be some dormant (and fearfully authentic) part of you, just waiting for the right time to wake up. But even if her father’s blood runs through her veins, hurting people isn’t hereditary - it’s a choice. Her father chose to hurt her mother, her mother chose to lock the door on that pain, and Jo is choosing to absorb 3 people’s worth of trauma and allow it to implode her life. The dam can’t hold forever, and when it finally breaks, Alex will be there to help her pick up the pieces and rebuild - something she’s never had before.
