Wang Xiaona 王晓娜 is a former Beijing and China national team athlete, multiple national champion, and now head coach of the Legendary Beijing Sports University Taolu team.
She is also one of my coach with whom I had the chance to improve a lot during my years in China. She is to me the best modern wushu coach I have ever met.
Who better to scold me and give me priceless advices??
This video was shot in 2014 before I compete at the Hong Kong International Wushu Festival in Modern Qiangshu (spear) and Xing Yi Quan.
I couldn't find the original video so I'm very sorry for the ugly subtitles and the translation which is not accurate at some points, as my chinese wasn't as good back then. Feel free to ask me if you are not sure about my translation, I'll be happy to help!
    Enjoy!

Awesome footage! The first time I had ever seen Chinese Wushu at a professional level in person was when the Beijing Wushu Team performed at the Kennedy Center in 2005, and she was one of the touring members there! I recall she and the rest of the Beijing Wushu Team there autographed my program of the performance there lol Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I can tell she has confidence in you and cares about you by the way she’s talking to you. It sounds mean, but that’s just because she’s pushing you.
